Hello everyone,

I just can't say "No" to her when she's looking at me like she does in the preview.
Not that this is a bad thing.

I've redone Faye's pool pose scene which got one of the worst animations of the game. Since I was at it, I re-rendered the whole scene as well. All images have been upgraded to double resolution webp format, there are some additional images and the dialogue has been improved as well.

In addition, The scene can be seen with Faye wearing her bikini or her sling swimsuit.
Image hue and brightness is adjusted based on the time of day in the whole scene now as well. I've attached some example images. The normal pool times are the second to fifth image.

Version 0.2.2 beta - development news (updated 29. June 2020)

Hi guys and gals, this post offers you a collection of news about the next full version of Holiday Island (0.2.2 beta) and the smaller updates towards it.​

There will be smaller, more frequent content updates, called content addons. They will include bug fixes and new content as well.​

The change log below is based on the beta 0.2.1.0 release.​

The next release is 0.2.2.0 beta which will be a full update for Windows, Linux and Mac.​

It will include a lot of new features and some bug fixes as well.​

As of right now, the update from 0.2.1.0 to 0.2.2.0 has:​

323 additional renders, videos or sound files​

57 updated renders (Yvette arrival, Jennifer workout instructions, Renée poker, Faye pool posing)​

New features and content

• Desire gets a pool posing scene --> still working on it
• Desire gets a newly designed and very much improved pool sunbed scene --> still working on it
• Jessica gets a new quest for Alice's photo shooting scene --> still working on it
• Alice gets a photo shooting / posing scene in denims at the photo studio --> still working on it
• Renée gets a poker reward scene that involves some hand and mouth action --> still working on it
• Faye gets an appointment in the new player room, which you'll be able to get when she wins the redesigned butt contest --> still working on it
• Faye's pool sun lotion scene gets a happy ending for the MC --> still working on it
• Faye's pool posing scene will be redone with new renders in webp format. It will also be available for her skimpy swimsuit --> will be part of 0.2.2.0

Minor improvements and changes

• As promised earlier, Amy's third massage appointment has been made repeatable. When you check on her in her room, you'll be able to make an appointment --> will be part of 0.2.2.0
• Amy can invite you to dinner now if you let her win the butt or wet-t contest --> will be part of 0.2.2.0
• Amy and Mercedes get achievements for cheating at the butt contest --> will be part of 0.2.2.0

• Jennifer's workout instructions images for talking and pecs training will be redone in 2560x1440 webp format --> will be part of 0.2.2.0
• The spa area will be open until 20:00 now (was 19:00). Also the probability that girls use the sauna has been increased --> will be part of 0.2.2.0
• The guess who minigame gets 5 additional pictures to guess --> is part of 0.2.1.1
• The game will count weekly and total masturbations per girl now. A new trophy to display the data has been added as well --> is part of 0.2.1.1

Bug fixes

• Brightness adjustment in phone app for player room picture frames did not work for all images --> will be fixed with 0.2.2.0
• Fixed a bug in the app that allows to restrict dream images. Sometimes the deactivated images were still used --> will be fixed with 0.2.2.0
• Crash with "IndexError: list index out of range" during weight lifting scene, when Faye has not been on the island yet --> will be fixed with 0.2.2.0
• Eva's arrival scene repeats over and over again when you walk to your from your room --> will be fixed with 0.2.2.0
• Jessica's shower event does not end when she catches you spying on her, instead it continues --> will be fixed with 0.2.2.0
• The guess who minigame gets two fixes. Black image corrected and initialization corrected. You could not get all images until you loaded an older save and run it through the save patcher --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• If you try to visit the sauna, but Yvette has never been on the island at that time, you get a crash --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• One of the pictures in the "guess who" minigame app is not shown --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• The scene with Heather in the MC's room after her second arrival scene does repeats up to 20 times --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• Scrolling through images for your player room can lead to a crash:
  Exception: Expected an image, but got a general displayable.
  The same can happen if you add a new image to your player room picture frames --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• In Heather's first arrival scene, the second image is not displayed. Instead you see a blank screen --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• When you send a girl away, she loses 40% of her love, instead of 20% affection and 20% love --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1
• In the intro, the number of available scenes for each character was one too low --> is fixed with 0.2.1.1

Is the update going to break save games?

I know about this request, the problem im having is trying to activate her into the sauna so I can complete the scene. I have tried multiple times at different things and Im trying to find the right combination that will allow the scene to happen. Each time I have tried and very confused and angry, beciase she will be in the sauna or a signm etc.

Now, anchor her as one of the girls in the upper left of your screen. If the hacking is complete you will be able to see her location. Go somewhere, like the beach, where you won't be interrupted and advance the time by 30 minutes and check Yvette's location. Repeat until it says 'Sauna' and then go there and you will find Yvette.

Now, anchor her as one of the girls in the upper left of your screen. If the hacking is complete you will be able to see her location. Go somewhere, like the beach, where you won't be interrupted and advance the time by 30 minutes and check Yvette's location. Repeat until it says 'Sauna' and then go there and you will find Yvette.

Sometimes she doesnt come to the sauna all afternoon. Her stats are high... maybe she better feels to cool down at the pool

Start a new game and don't use the stone age cheat tools that can break your game.

Yes BNTRY, tHANKS THIS cl;arifies precisely what i need to do to get her into the sauna, to make things clear, Yes i hack and change her sub-dermal and place her in the corner, so i precisely know when she is in the spa region for the sauna, ans i have done this repeatly biut missed your clarified steps. I now lnow to repeat this and wait until it says sauna and not when she is in the spa region for the saunam becuase i have tried to get her to see if she is in the sauna but nothing happens, You have clearly answered my querym so thank you bantry for clearling this up

I don't understand your question because you can walk on the beach with the girls and you can work out at the gym with the girls.

The normal location activity has 3 renders and each is repeated pr. outfit.

15 Normal girls x 3 outfits x 3 renders = 135 renders needed for the most basic location activity.
The "clones" are on average cheaper to (re)make, so lets say 90-100 full renders effective cost in time and effort.

Which is around 3-4 weeks of work.

And of course there is the nice touch that it has a future cost too.
Add a new girl? Create all location renders for her and then repeat all for each outfit she has.
Add a new outfit? Repeat all location renders for that outfit.

It is a primary or the key factor why the last normal girl added was Natasha in 2018 and why outfits for the day hours have been largely static over the years. The cost is simply insane.

It is no secret that it is the only part of HI's design which would be changed or outright scrapped if time travel was a thing.

But since we are short on time travel and have a huge to-do list already, it'd have to be a very good suggestion for what to do at the Spa.

There is one flaw in this logic. It assumes that whatever happens at the Spa would have to happen for all girls. Maybe in the distant future if Dark's appetite lasts that long. For now just one or two girls would do. It's like that in the gym too. Not all girls have the weight lifting or the pull-ups or the yoga.
