If it doesn't happen with a new game I think your save is corrupted somehow.
It is the first time that someone got an error with the status icon I think.
I don't use the companion mod (I removed the companion rpyc file).

No idea how people got so many saves error, I play this game for 2 years now and my current saves are from 1 year ago which I carry from version to version.

I posted this a month back. It was a response to Dark noting the lack of 'nerd' girls on the island. Some days before I suggested Annabelle as a visiting tech girl.

Just go at 1:00am and click the wait 30 minutes icon a couple times. If she comes over to announce last call, just thank her and continue to wait.

Version 0.2.3 beta - development news (updated 13. August 2020)

Hi guys and gals, this post offers you a collection of news about the next full version of Holiday Island (0.2.3 beta) and the smaller updates towards it.​

There will be smaller, more frequent content updates, called content addons. They will include bug fixes and new content as well.
The change log below is based on the beta 0.2.2.0 release.​

The next release is 0.2.2.2 beta which will be an incremental update for Windows, Linux and Mac. It will include some new features and some bug fixes as well.​

As of right now, the update from 0.2.2.0 to 0.2.2.2 has:
9 additional renders, videos or sound files
0 updated renders​

New features and content

• Yvette can be the plane girl and she gets an extended scene on the plane --> still working on it
• Yvette gets an additional arrival scene when she has been the plane girl --> still working on it
• A new location, the underground lab and infirmary will be introduced with two new special characters --> still working on it
• A new scene when the MC jogs at the beach and hurts himself will be added. It's a scene with Miriam that leads to the discovery of the underground lab --> still working on it
• An intro quest line with 19 steps has been added, that will trigger when you arrive on the island. It will teach new players some of the game mechanics --> will be part of 0.2.2.2

Minor improvements and changes

• The initial girl selection process has been newly coded from scratch. This includes the selection of the plane girl and the initial island population. As a result, this should make the general experience of the first couple of in game days much better. Especially if you mainly selected low tier girls. --> will be part of 0.2.2.2

Is the update going to break save games?

0.2.2.1 beta --> Save games from 0.0.8 and later can still be used. Earlier saves are no longer supported.
0.2.2.2 beta --> same as for 0.2.2.1​

Sexy Reception is unlocked later in the game; I forget the specifics but you will receive a letter from Joy when they become available somewhere around day 18.

Be nice to the girls at reception, a little attention goes a long ways! When talking, not chatting, with Amy ask her if there is anything wrong. Amy will tell you that she wants a sling bikini. However, before you can buy one, you will need to know all of Amy's measurements. If you don’t know, then ask her until you do. Keep in mind that you need to also know her measurements to get her the sexy workout as part of the quest to raise her stats. Might want to wait until you complete that part of the quest before trying to get her the sling bikini. Once you have all of Amy's measurements, her special swimsuit will appear in your phone's shopping app. You can purchase it now with HI favor, but you can't just give her this as a gift. The next time you see Amy in a swimsuit, ask her to change into her Special Swimsuit, and she will put it on for you. Keep in mind that some gym options for her will disappear. then same issues should apply to other renpy games and they dont, this is the only renpy game, i have experince this in.
