Entry 47:
Day 212:
Ok, I have been on the Island for 7 months of my all expenses paid 3 month vacation on a tropical island resort that I won in a contest that I never entered.
At first glance this place seems like your typical tourist destination. However, there are some oddities.
1. Everyone here has been injected with a chip that monitors location and vital signs.
2. Not that I am complaining, but I am the only male on the island. 16/17 to 1 ratio.
3. I have been requested to collect and submit to the clinic samples of... err... ahh... certain bodily fluids.
The medium of exchange on the island is Favor. I earn the majority my Favor by, well, turning in samples. All the ladies on the island are terrible teases keeping me in a near permanent state of arousal, which ensures that the clinic is receiving a never ending supply of samples. Some of the ladies have certain personal projects that need my assistance with, you guessed it, more samples. (WHAT are they DOING with all that stuff?)
This island has secrets. Many of the ladies have personal secrets. This isn't unusual as we all have our secrets, but quite often when I ask, I get told to ask Dr. Resplendor (Joy) about it or I am told that Joy has asked them to keep quiet about it. Two of these ladies indicated that they were dying before Joy stepped in and cured them. These two look like they are twin sisters but they assure me that they are unrelated and never met until they were treated by Joy. When I asked them if the treatment is why they look like twin sisters, yep, "ask Joy". The not-twins have extreme physical strength. Yes, they look strong (especially when they flex) but they are way stronger than they look. I am not talking strong for a girl strong here, I am talking bench press a Cadillac strong.
After I had been on the island for about 2 months, I stumbled upon the biggest secret (so far) that the island has to offer. I was jogging on the beach when I twisted my ankle. The damage severe enough where I couldn't put weight on it. Miriam (one of the not-twins, the other is Mercedes) carried me to the clinic without breaking a sweat (Cadillac, remember). I got an xray and if was decided that I should have an MRI. The clinic doesn't have an MRI, but the secret underground laboratory does.
THAT'S RIGHT, THEY HAVE A SECRET LABORATORY BURIED UNDER THE CLINIC OF THE RESORT!
From what I saw, the lab has two permanent residents, Dr. Rosario (Daniela) and her assistant Sara. On first meeting Daniela comes across as rather cold but does warm quickly. She did refer to me as a specimen (not in the good sense like "a fine specimen of manhood", but more like a microscope slide specimen). Sara is mischievous and bubbly (I am sorry, I don't handle bubbly well until I have had my second cup of coffee) but otherwise quite fun to be around. I was offered and accepted an experimental gene therapy that would reduce my recovery from months to a couple of weeks. Daniela and Sara mentioned my special "heritage" and that I was important but neither would elaborate. I was asked to produce more samples (SURPRISE) for my gene treatment. I also learned that they are storing my samples that they haven't used. (Use for what?)
During the few days I was in the lab, I met another patient, Mia. Her story was almost identical to the not-twins stories. She is just at the beginning of her gene therapy and still confined to a wheelchair but is already showing positive signs. I wonder it the not-twins will become not-triplets.
In summary I know:
1. This "resort's" (and by extension, the ladies') primary purpose is for me (or someone like me) to happily produce samples.
2. That I, or at least, my samples are very important and probably essential to whatever purpose the lab was created.
3. This importance seems to be derived from my "heritage". (I am guessing that means my genetics.)
What I don't know is what this is all about. Are the medical benefits the goal or only byproducts of research into something else?
It is obvious that the "contest" I won, was a genetic lottery but I still have no idea why I won.
I doubt I am a prisoner on this island, but I am pretty sure that Joy would figure on some way to make me stay voluntarily if I announced a desire to leave. (She has done a pretty good job of that so far. lol)
I guess for now, I am just going to have to keep my ears open to learn more.
