And a small remark on my part that usually it is better not to talk about tastes because everyone can have completely different tastes so this kind of discussion is of no use at all.

Personally any kind of incest is good as well it is well written. Being family members for the sake of being family members is meh. Ok but nothing special.

What I like is the development of the story with conflictions, corruption, being scared to get caught by other family members, the taboo aspect, etc.

The thing is that in games and comics incest is mostly a thing of writing. Harems with a lots of baby making but no decent writting is nearly the same. I'm not expecting a Shakespeare thing, but something at least fun to read.

Oh writing is very important as well. I shouldn't have excluded that in my initial reply to you...
I just don't care for the drama, corruption, taboo and all that.

I just prefer games where there is a true romantic connection based on love that the MC has with his girls.
And if that's incest too, with M/S, B/S and if you write it in a clever way even F/D with one MC then it's peak.

Unfortunately there are very few games that fulfill that.

But I like a true romantic connection. By corruption I didn't mean making the girls as lifeless dolls to breed, but actually going against the current norms of society and "fighting" for that.

For example, if you ever played Crusader Kings, you can play as a culture that despises incest, be shunned about that, and reform your culture as one that accepts it. You can even make it a virtue on the religion. That's the kind of thing I meant about "corruption", going against the norms of society.

Let's be frank, not everyone likes it, and some characters may do like it, but are afraid to do it, and need "time" for it. Like a son that helps the mother and sister from an abusive father, and so on. Those kind of stories is what I like. But something like "hey bro you're hot, let's fuck" doesn't give substance to the genre.

I don't think it is as literal as you said, but yes, I do agree it lacks substance and touches the line of "normal" relationships.

I don't care for taboo, because taboo implies the involvement of a third party.
Government, Law, Society.... call it what you want.
I have no problem with it being taboo in the beginning, but a normal relationship, that's the goal.

This! The realest thing I've read today.
Now, don't get me wrong; I can still enjoy 'normalised incest' themes in games too but I feel like there should be two separate incest tags, one for incest where there is a taboo drama and one where it is incest the sake of incest itself. Both are very hot, but they are very different narratives!

I mostly agree, but for me the incest liking came from porn The "normal" porn became so mechanical, and a PE exercise, that is unbearable. In the incest porn there was some effort to make the actors human.
