Is there a reason more devs aren't using patches to get around this puritanical insanity? Can't they just do the landlady/tenant thing and then release the patch anonymously so that they can't be associated with it? It isn't their fault if "some anonymous third party" keeps releasing these "morally rephrensible" patches for their games.

They can and they should do it. I dont even understand why some devs are not doing it it is so simple. They could also do patches for more extreme fetishes like rape in no mercy.

It's not really worth the effort. A lot of devs do include a patch and they still end up getting nuked by patreon anyway. That's why so many of these games are abandoning incest as the games goes on and why so many devs with an already finished incest game choose not to include it in their next game. Patreon has stepped up their game when it comes to this stuff and devs don't want to risk it.

Well they should post the patch on an anonymous alt account not on their main dev accounts or on that could trace back to them. They cant be held liable if people tamper with the files that would not make sense to ban them for that.

doubt that would help or matter if what I heard is true . I've heard of dev's getting in trouble over fan made patches how true that I don't know but if it is doubt what you suggest would help any.

Its probably not true. I could take down any Ren'Py game if it was because I wrote couple patches for games on here. That makes no sense.
