This game is not unity, but also I don't think next-gen is defined by the engine used to make a game. You could make a next-gen game in unity if you have the right people. Like this demo .

honestly, as a PC gamer, I never liked the whole next gen thing it is just so unclear what is next gen. you could call 4090 with DLSS 3 next gen. or you could call UE5 the next gen since it is the next generation of unreal. you could say that this is the next gen of porn games.

Yea, there is no clear definition. What we mean by it is an improvement of graphics for real-time adult games plus UE5 being pretty new (at least that's what we tried, everyone is their own judge if we did it).

Next-gen is defined by the engine! Have 13900k, 4090Ti, 64 DDR5 6000 MHZ (and i did not get it from ma or pa like others), there is few game came out with next-gen-ish graphics, where I thought that was a movie. Anyway Battlefront 2 SP graphics is amazing and check the engine! Amazing.

"but this game is made in UE5", :( man I can see your problem now, you do not know the UE5. These users need min RTX2060 for a fair play and min. 6 cores with 3000 MHZ ....

I am not talking about movies, I made myself realistic Revan fun videos for UE4 and UE5. It is about the gameplay now.

I get 30-40FPS at native 1440p on a 980ti I consider that decent. for a 7-year-old card.
and true BF2 looks great Frostbite looks good. but you know another game that used that engine Mass Effect Andromeda. it is not about what engine you have it's about how to use it.
and hurray for you that you can dump thousands into a new PC when you feel like it most people can't. I had to save for 7 years to get a new PC after 2 months my GPU broke and they won't let me RMA my 1200€ card.

Next gen is subjective. Very little of whats on PS5 for example is actually built from the ground up for it. What PC games are "next gen"? If things are a step up from whats been there before in my view its next gen.

Ultimately you've stated your opinion on it not being next gen. Not really sure what else you're adding to the thread apart from the bollocks you spew.

Based on your banner you like looking at static images rather than any gameplay or animation. Theres are saying people in glass houses shouldnt throw stones and it applies in your case 100%.

How do you have an RTX 4090Ti when it isn't available yet? I don't even think nVidia has announced it. If you do have one, then maybe you could send one over to me, as I would love the performance increase  Hoping that you meant a 4090.

If you set anti-aliasing to ultra and reduce the resolution scale as you see it fit, it could boost your fps while still remain decent looking. Ever tried that?

reduce resolution scale eww gross:sick::rolleyes:. I rather have lower fps than lower quality it's not like this is an action game that needs it.

You are not actually reducing the final resolution scale, it is upscaling it with unreal's DLSS variant (TSR). It is a pretty much the same as DLSS but it runs on every GPU. I am sure you won't be able to see a difference at above 75% resolution scale, meaning free fps boost. :)

Any hopes for FSR 2.1?
Maybe, but TSR is pretty much as good (many say it is better) and also works for amd cards. And it is already supported by default, just reduce the resolution scale and it kicks in.
