Hello guys, when I try and run this game with Wine I get like 8 fps at MAX despite having a laptop of the newer generations, I run Linux mint with AMD RYZEN and Nvidia RTX 4070 please help

I'm not great with linux compatibility tricks, but off the top of my head, there's the options of using Lutris or Bottles to run it on the GE fork of Wine, or attempting to use them to make it run through Proton (though that involves getting the steam client involved, and I generally avoid that with anything pirated, just in case.

There seems to be something wrong with the latest version (0.31). It now maxes out my GPU immediately and makes my PC sound like a jet engine. Been playing this game on and off for many versions now, and even with the previous version (0.30) I had no issues and wasn't overly demanding for my PC. All the same settings as before, too. Every other demanding program and game has been performing all the same so I'm pretty sure it's this game (the latest version).

Has anybody else noticed this with the latest version?

EDIT: Even replaying 0.30.1 it's back to being pretty cool and not loud. I'll wait for a fix/updated version in future.

use latest lutris and latest protonGE. i have no issues running with that setup. also are you using latest nvidia drivers? linux mint likes to ship with ancient stuff all the time. and you really need the new stuff if you are using nvidia and linux.
i think latest you get in linux mint is nvidia 550 drivers, which is like almost an year old now. latest is 570 i think. thats wat i use, i suggest you enable test repo for nvidia drivers and install latest from that.

(google it im not sure, i dont use mint)
