It seems that the bone mod is causing the issue.
Make a backup of hs2abmx.xml, hs2abmx.dll, and HS2_Heelz.dll located in the \BepInEx\Plugins folder.
Download the HS2ABMX_v5.2.5.zip file and install it

Hello guys, just trying to get into Honey Select 2 recently and there is a lot to understand here. I just want to know, do people usually just go for StudioNeo to watch the scenes there, or play the game itself? I tried the base game and I don't see any extra scenes there.

I'd recommend playing around with the base game's character editor, get a couple of characters that you like (or you can download premade cards from

(not to get confused, AI Shoujo and HS2 cards are interchangeable)), and then check out one of the several YouTube tutorials on basic Studio Neo V2 character orientation/movement and scene building. Maybe start with making a simple room, or having one of your characters waving their arm. Start small, and you'll find that you can fairly quickly transition into more complex scenes. You're not required to play the base game if you're here for the scene building in Studio.

There is a 'presets' folder in the game's installation directory. Put it there.
The scene’s metadata probably also contains the graphics settings, so it will still load properly even without .preset files.
If you use the graphics mode, press F5 to open the graphics window and quickly apply pre-made presets.
