I just started a thread in the "Features Request" Forum, about the whole modding-community thing: Click here

Feel free to participate and vote on that. I'd like to see if people here would be even interested to have modders or if modders are interested to settle here.

What a mess, there were so many mods and memories, it had to happen, but it hurts anyway.
The very few remaining communities had to go on anime-sharing and come here too.

If you are looking for mods, go here: , F95 Mods.

That would be for the best if the Modders & Administrators of Anime-Sharing and F95 would work together. There is the sharing between members but it does not go further, or I say shit? :poop:

Does anyone where else I can find the 90GB Honey Select repack? I think hongfire also had the ultimate Fate/Stay Night as well.

well, judging by this thread, the redirect hack has been going for more then a month now, so yeah. Hongfire is pretty much dead. Unless admins are in a loong vacation or something

Light a tribute for the good ol' introducer to h-games

What a year. Few months ago it was sadpanda, and now this.

at least sadpanda came back because it had an active community not sure about HF nowadays though, its been years since my last visit before today

I do hope they can salvage most of the mods there, it'd be a shame if they disappear

Wait, I thought they are about to close the site and wipe all data when their hosting plan ends. Did they solve their problem with hosters?

* I was so sad about it so I didn't follow the news.

Then let me the first to state and ask the obvious question in this thread

Just like how ILLUSION GAME modding community can be found at alternative site (already discussed in this thread) ... so where can we find alternative resource or discussion platform of the modding community members of Techarts 3D Custom Girl / Kiss 3D Custom Girl 2 and 3D Custom Maid / Maid 2 etc etc

Hongfire ... sad story. I just read from the users gossip discussion.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
I'm hardly visit HF anymore since it getting a lot of DDoS attack, and in the same time found F95 in the old Kat site, uploading porn games in 2014. Also Anime Sharing became the new alternative for HF, so the less reason to visit HF site.

Lisa here, just dropping by (HF users know me)

hongfire is down, and would probably stay that way.

---
and just to set the speculations straight, the primary reason the site went down is hacking. I guess Hong probably got tired of dealing with this problem and left it alone to die a natural death. Plus threats.

as most mentioned, there's still anime sharing as the closest similar forum site that i know.
as for modding communities, i don't really have any idea.

---
- pretty much all the admins are inactive, save for the last new moderators.
- shragei was building the v5, but it never took off.
- i had real life work, so that's pretty much where i left off.
- hong has personal health problems, but never mentions it on site. Mostly bedridden for months based on our last convo. Considering that HF is pretty much gone, i think it's safe to say this as there's no point in holding on to it.

I'll probably just drop from time to time from here. I am not too familiar with the users anymore but it's nostalgic to read topics about HF. Even if others have a very toxic opinion on it.

laters~

Hi everyone,

So I'm not a user and never really was a user of hongfire, didn't really care much about the site since I didn't really know much about it. I didn't even know the site was down. But that's besides the point.

This week someone actually informed me that the hongfire user database was leaked. I was also provided with said leak. After looking through it, the leak was from september this year, which matches the creation of this thread.

If you are worried about the information contained in said leak, most of it was forum specific, and no passwords were included. If I had to choose the most concerning info contained in said leak I'd say it was:
username, IP, email, birthday, skype

The information is in regards to all 1.5M+ users.

Hope that helps some of you in some way.

Note: I will not provide said leak to anyone, and as a matter of fact I've already deleted the files as I was only interested in knowing if any critical info was included such as passwords.

I'm not grumpy, I'm just coded that way.

Therefore, Hongfire users :
  • Take more caution than usually when you receive an e-mail to the address you used for it ; if, like me, you've one e-mail address by site/account/whatever, just drop everything incoming on this address.
  • Same if you have unexpected contacts on Skype, this thing is a big hole ; the best option for few months would be to refuse anyone you don't personally know and/or use another media to ask confirmation that it's the right person.
  • Concerning the IP address, if it's a dynamical one, you're safe. If it's not a dynamical one, either you've been already hit, or you'll be safe.
  • As for your birthday, as long as you don't use it as password, you're safe.
