You don't even need to learn the actual recipe to craft stuff, you just have to place the proper items in the right position.
Scroll down, the finish command is at the bottom. I'll add a hint somewhere in the next patch.
You can craft better stuff. Check your inventory for prisms, they give you enhancements (weapons), combining two of the same type in the crafting screen to get better ones. For runes - gather ore and smelt in, then turn it into plates (like in the runecrafter quest). Talia (the runecrafter) sells the actual words, you buy a word and combine it with a rune plate you crafted.
Chests, some quests and they also drop from enemies. You can also get them with shards from the mystic crystal vendor (enhancement crate). Glad you're enjoying the game!

They're relationships scenes. Go to Reiner's page and click on events, there should be a Denver quest available there.
For Denver - I assume you don't have enough RL points to unlock the quest(A Spark).
as for samantha's scene, I have it now, but I have already given scissors to Denver and when i went back earlier the chest was already open and the scissors aren't in my inventory so that confirms I gave it to her, but I still don't have the quest. ANd as for the 3rd scenes I already picked up the book but I dont remember a scene coming up, and it isnt in my gallery either
