I think the term for this kind of "game" is "kinetic novel". Like with all novels, they're only as good as the writer.
Which is unfortunate for people who looked at the title, and wanted it to be a game similar to Stardew Valley.

So what? I spent time downloading the game, playing it, and realized that the "animated" tag was just a scam.

There are a couple animated scenes. To be far, this has a lot more than most initial demos have. Everyone needs to realize there are 1000's of games on here. Go find the one you like instead
