I'd like the dev to watch a female football match and point out the thick girls to me...I like thick girls too, and she's definitely cute, but it doesn't make sense here. You have to have a very toned mid-section and hips/thighs otherwise you have slow feet...and slow feet don't make it very far. I know it's a VN and it doesn't have to make sense, but as an ex footballer i can't really get immersed when every time i see her i can't stop thinking about how she'd never actually be very good because she just looks slow.

She is not a pro footballer and she won't end up as one. She is a nerdy girl who finds herself in the college team (because of her father's friendship with the coach), and you will help her blend in as much as you can. The story will be more about helping her to gain confidence in general/life. And football will be a tool for achieving that.

How are we still getting renders of this quality in 2025? You can get a computer that pumps out god-tier renders (slowly) for $1200 USD. IDK how much that is wherever Dede is from, but probably less than $1200. And if you can't get something in that tier you should be doing something other than indie game dev for money anyway.

If the game gets any attention I will invest in a new desktop computer. I am working with a 7-year-old laptop. Watching it render is like watching an old toothless man chewing on a piece of stale bread.

This does feel a bit odd, like its based on women's football from the 1970's. The girl should be fitter not 'chunky', to play in women's football. Women's footballers are professional athletes. I get that its university / college level but the coach says "welcome to the professional life" so its professional level football and the idea is to train her in a short amount of time but it seems unrealistic. The focus should be more on football and teamwork to get her ready and less on fitness to play in matches or she used to play football but is now out of shape / had an injury (ACL?). I don't think its plausible to be both in such a short amount of time to train her. Big boobs also make it a lot harder to run so you don't really see players with them. Yes, I know its a porn VN but it just seems odd and there's nothing wrong with smaller boobs, especially in this context. Glasses? I have only seen one pro footballer train / play in glasses (Edgar Davids and he wore special ones; none breakable, flush to the face, like pro-cycling glasses) all the others wear contacts or get Lasik. Glasses are dangerous to everyone on the pitch for eye / facial injuries when heading or tackling, even in training.

Where are the women? Most of the coaches and staff are female in women's football these days so why is the MC male chosen randomly by an old guy, over the phone, on the recommendation of another guy? What is the reason they have chosen a guy? Why are they choosing coaches? Everyone has to be interviewed or checked out with background checks by HR these days even at University / college level, even interns. Having a male coach causes a lot more problems in the dressing room / massage room / treatment room / toilets, showers etc in women's football. I think if you explain why the MC is male in a women's environment in the story that would help. Such as is he a specialist in some type of training methods / modern sports science / injury specialist? Alternatively it would make more sense with a female MC and the focus is lesbian (a huge number of women players are in relationships with other teammates / women's coaches in the professional game) with the scenario you are suggesting which I haven't seen before in a women's football VN or if it's men's football and the focus is gay but with it being a guy in women's football, I think it needs explaining more. A trans footballer in the women's game with a male coach could also be on topic for 2025 and very now.

Also having an MC ogling women in the gym while talking to his mate doesn't seem a great fit to work in women's sport. Even his mate says "stop eyeing that girl like a perv". I think he would probably fail the interview or get kicked out straight away as bizarrely women do notice these things and complain. In addition, women's football has modern facilities even at University/College level not just grass in a park with a couple of goals and a bench. The team are recent champions, so are the poor facilities part of the story or just an oversight as its a demo to save time?

I know this is just a sample to show what is intended but the dialogue is basic and a bit clunky and the visuals poor. This is a tough subject to get right in a VN. 99% of football VN's are poor as football is about constant movement in matches or training which is hard to translate into this or any novel format so off the field is usually more important to focus on. Usually, most VN's for in match scenes just resort to one special player doing overhead kicks (very rare), flicks or tricks to win every game which never happens in professional football as it pisses other players off rather than teamwork, passing and movement which does. I'm hoping the focus is the latter.

I didn't leave a review as its so short / a demo at the moment. I wish the dev luck and hope you don't feel this is too critical, you continue and we see the end result.

As I mentioned in the previous reply the girl is a "black sheep" that's for sure but the goal of the game isn't crafting a ballon d'or winner out of her. You will just help her not to look awkward on the field and help her achieve something if you can.

Well, I can't give you the exact ratio but I know a lot of male coaches in women's football or sports in general. So I don't think that it is a bizarre thing.
Some women players are also married to their coaches so...
Or some footballer's wives cheat on their husbands with their trainers. It happens.

Generally agree with you. But explain the tree trunk thighs on Hope Solo then my dude. Best female goalie of all time had thighs that probably would've required custom order stockings and garters to handle the flex of those things if she worse them and definitely not a small frame. Its not outlandish tbh if her plot is to have her be a monster of a physical player and goalscorer. Make her into a female equivalent of Haaaland as she has a growth spurt during the plot?

Yeah that's fair. A local pro side or a European womens league I could see it. There are a few that are definitely "curvy" playing in the English womens leagues for sure, especially at the second tier. The US women's league is where the best women's players actually play pro at for sports it seems.

Could you please, at the very least, add a stat screen so the players can see at least what the current stats of the Mc are so they can make a more informed choice on what stats they want to to train and when? And if you would be so kind, maybe think about adding a walk though, cheat mod, or putting in a true visual novel mode so the points don't matter for those of us who just want to see the harem story and not have to worry about it but just want to see the story you want to tell without having to load saves or roll back to try to get the right amount of each stat before each encounter.

Edit: Just saw that after the first meeting with Gabriella there is a screen that pops up for showing stats.

That trans comment jumped out to me because of the issue with trans women competing with naturally born women. As for the rest there is another VN on female football that worked out well too with a straight MC who was a temp coach/analyst and another guy who was a coach I believe but he was only allowed because he was gay.

I know your pain but hey at least you are doing more than some of these people. Also, if you are looking at getting a new rig I'd advise doing it before next year because prices are going to skyrocket on some things like ram and probably on a couple of the gpus because of ram shortages.

I didn't read the story because of it only being a demo, I looked at the functionality and the way things worked. The main issue I saw was that the player has no way of knowing how many points they have trained so may end up over or under training for the upcoming scene. Also, 3 types of training per day seems bad and would be more in line using 2 types of training to follow the norm and not get over worked.
