VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Hot Sand of Antarctica [v0.09] [Grinvald]

Story - 3/10 I can appreciate the attempt to create something interesting, mad max world with incest. The story telling itself is not interesting, i think mostly because the whole game looks and feels so cheap it is ridiculous.

Renders - 4/10 Although most of the models look ok, there is nothing about them that really draws you in and makes you want more.

Animations - 2/10 Typical 2 second sex scenes, pop it in and 2 renders later you are done, cheap and boring.

Grammar - 5/10 Proof read your writing.

Overall not interesting, the whole story/game is so devoid of anything that gets you to want more. It is quick paced and lacks depth, waste of time downloading. Obvious interest was just making something to draw in cash, not to make a memorable story.

I love everything about this game, the gorgeous girls, the plot, the world. While the world renders are pretty low quality, it is sufficient and the girls renders are just beautiful. Can't wait for the game to develop. I support the dev on Patreon to reward for such a good work. Please update more often?

Once again, here I am leaving a review. Quite rare for me. The short of it? I loved playing this VN.
Is it 5 stars? Not quite, but its closer to 5 than 4. So its 5 for this review. I played the latest update 0.06 from start to finish this morning.
I couldn't stop playing, was almost late for work because of it.
Wives are excellent, daughters are amazing. Non familia LIs are great. I really liked the twist that's happening with the story. So far its been a thoroughly enjoyable adventure.
The lighting was rough in the early renders, but improves quickly. The renders are above good overall, with the characters (even the MC) being excellent. The music is very well picked for each scene.
Lewd scenes are well done, the one just before the end of 0.06 is amazing.
English is clearly not the dev's first language, but the translation is perfectly serviceable. There was never a line that didn't make sense.
Going to support the dev when I can afford to. Would love this to be on Steam.
Now I need to end this review, I'm off to drink some more JD and play this again with different choices.

I don't often leave reviews, and by often I mean, at all. I felt this one deserved at least a quick mention.

Others have stated this already but I figured I should still say it, this VN is a real hidden gem. It's not super well-known or popular that I can see, but it certainly deserves to be.

The story is good, the models are very attractive and easy on the eyes. The lewd scenes are quite good, easily some of the better quality scenes out there.

I can only imagine the kind of quality and quantity of content in each new patch if the dev had more support/a bigger team.

Verdict: For being real early in development, HSoA gets 5 butchered bandits... out of 5.

Other than the fact that having fun time on the sand gave me PTSD, this game is pretty solid, I'm glad it still getting updated. The writing is still quite stiff. Could be because of the translation. I also don't like the branching narrative but it doesn't impact much so it's ok I guess. Still, you will enjoy this game

The overall setting is very cohesive and the lewd scenes are wonderfully incorporated into the dystopian theme.
The animations can't quite keep up with the other games, but the storytelling and overall gameplay is something I'll keep an eye on.
Therefore, I don't give any deductions and stick with 5/5.
There is no skimping on blood either and cool fight scenes are shown.

Game has good and original story. It also has quality sex scenes. with animations. To my taste the developer could have left out stepdaughter thing. You can choose not to follow that path but then you will be missing some sex scenes.

While not overly complicated, this game has the basics right. The story is interesting, women are hot and the protagonist is clever and resourceful in dealing with the problems.

Overall this is a pretty enjoyable experience for a basic vn.

It's a great story, starting in what I thought was a dystopian harem world , the theme is to find more women to cultivate their own harem .
In the last two updates(0.5 and 0.6) I've noticed that the author has begun to add depth to the story , developing a zigzagging apocalyptic survival storyline .
The quality of the whole picture is very high , and the authors have done a good job of inheriting the looks of mothers and daughters, who look alike but can clearly distinguish ages .
This is arguably one of the best new works of 2022 .

Alright, i have to clear up some misconceptions about the game that come from a previous reviewer.

1. There is no sharing, cucking or cheating in this game. Your wives are your wives and no one's else

1.5 You can let your wives "share" each other. But that is optional.

2. MC has no intention to give his daughters to Mongol (at the very least if you choose so).
The conversion the reviewer talks about is more applicable to the others under Mongols rule, not the MC. He is the right hand man of the big boss which gives him much more leeway than others. The conversion talk about how things should be "by law" but the reality is quite different from "hypotheticals".

Intriguing story, appealing female characters that are well enough written for harem characters and good looking too. Good density of sex and plot time. The fetishes are right up my alley - dev knows how to make incest appealing.

Quality renders and good looking girls! Body textures aren't of the highest standard, but absolutely good enough for me in the overall look of the game.

And an extra 5th star for the Dev making MC's dick look delicious, especially while getting blown. Make notes other devs, dicks gotta shine when they're sucked.

My only complaint so far is MC being completely emotionless. Not objectively a bad thing (because it makes it kinda easier to project yourself into him), but it stands out with all other male and female characters showing emotions.

Can't wait to see where this goes!

Wow! That was actually excellent entertainment, even without the sex scenes (which are kind of average). But the music and plot and renders create this dynamite atmosphere. The programmer knows how to weave dialogue and scene into a palpable reality you rarely, if ever, see in adult games. The girls are delicious, and that sister, Milani, cute as hell. I'm stoked to see this continue. I'm tempted to play it again, right now, even though I know exactly how it will go.

I like dystopian-settings game combined with some adventures, and this game hits right on the spot ! It also has an element of horror that is, also nice. Renders are quite good and the story is awesome

I only just found this game yesterday and already can't wait for the next update, shame I only just found out now that it's been abandoned. If the dev is still reading through the thread, pls know that you have a unique game here, I can guarantee you that this game will start to gather pace with more supporters.

This is just a few suggestions that could help you gain more support, taking down the abandoned sign (cus no one wants to play an abandoned game), adding in a few more tags to draw in more attention to the game (fetish ting), change the cover adding in the main character and his girls (you designed those girls so show them off, make them stand out to your fans and new members), this might not be necessary but have a fan signature (let your fans help promote your game in other threads). You can always ask for help, ideas and opinions from your thread and patron members.

TL/DR: Interesting post apocalyptic harem game with a badass but caring protagonist. Lots of intrigue. A healthy helping of 'cest vibed content. Pathing is rather simple. Writing is relatively simple- but it gets the job done.

~Scene content continues to be so incredibly hot that I'm kickin' it up a star despite any of its other warts.

I really like the story on this. And the sex scenes blend in perfectly with it. The grip is intense when it needs to be, and the grittiness coupled with gory adult situations fit like a perfectly timedTetris. The humor is quirky at times and subtle at other more appropriate ones. You did a fine job so far and I commend you for it.

Hoping this continues as it should be envisioned. For me, I always compensate generously a well done game once it's finished. And this one has all the hallmarks of one.

I started the game just to try it without big expectations but as a surprise it turned out to be really engaging and exciting. It has a very refreshing dystopian setting and good animations and great characters. Story is also good written. Technically i think the Dev knows what he is doing and has a good knowledge of programming becauzse the playable part is already long for such a young game. And also the game is not bloated in size..i was surprised how long the game with 1.6GBalready is advanced...Great game and pofessionaly made..

Excellent renders, intriguing story, decent writing, a fairly accurate representation of the post apocalyptic world, beautiful models, a likable MC for once.
Relationships are a bit rushed, and the amount of added characters each update is excessive IMO. Given the fact that the characters who already exists have small screen time as of now. My advice will be to halt the addition of new characters for the time being so the dev is not overwhelmed
except that, a very enjoyable game
