That's what I thought, that means the art I saw on this thread were fan art. I read somewhere that Siren the dev or Scarlett the artist doesn't do pregnancy stuff. House Chores - v1.1.5 | First Look Update!


I know, I know! Let me explain,

House Chores - v1.1.5 is currently in progress and will be releasing soon!

This is not to be confused with the Epilogue Update (v1.2) that was recently announced. That update is still in progress and is planned to release in the next couple of months!

== v1.1.5 Content ==

The focus of the v1.1.5 update is to refresh one of the older CG's in the game. The goal is to make one of the early bathroom events with Linda feel a little more immersive. Additionally, adding animation and more depth to the event overall!

I've been meaning to revisit some of the earliest content in House Chores so this feels like a good opportunity to do so.

Additionally, I'd like to revisit that group 'home run' expansion idea that I had talked about earlier this year. It won't feature any new artwork but will feature some unique options for more one on one time with each character as well.

This will be a pretty small update, more like an intermission update.

== Testing Updates ==

At the time of this post, House Chores is still unavailable to be purchased on itch. This is an issue I am still hoping to resolve but it appears that the itch team has their hands full dealing with all of the recent events.

Players who have already purchased a copy of HC on itch should be able to re-download it. But my concern is, can they re-download the game if the game files have been updated? I certainly hope so! But I'd like to use the v1.1.5 release to iron out any uncertainties before the Epilogue update's release.

Once purchased, future updates will be free! Additionally, active $5+ HC Patrons have access to the download link if you'd like to play it at a discounted price.

== Release Window ==

At the time of this post, the new art is still in progress and still needs animation. So the release timing can vary still.

But, I am hoping to have this update released later this month!

If more time is needed, I will post here and keep you all updated. Stay tuned for a Patron-exclusive teaser of the new art coming soon and the release of the update should be out shortly after.

Can't remember the exact number of scenes, but it was generally updated once every 3 months.
The dev made/makes 2 other games alongside this one (Zombie's Retreat 2: Gridlocked, and Kingdom of Passion). ~every month each game would get an update on rotation.
iirc, the updates slowed down a bit later in this game's life.

I see, thanks. A month or two should be the ideal for updates then and must've contain at least 2 animated scenes per update. Hmm... ngl sounds like this would be a rough first months, and I had to learn Ren'Py at the same time too... bah- whatever, it's better to try and fail than never try at all.

I wanted to let you all know that the House Chores v1.1.5 update is scheduled to release tomorrow!

== v1.1.5 Content ==

As a friendly reminder, this is a very small update. The primary focus is improving and expanding upon one of Linda's early story moments. This scene features some new art & animations as Linda shows you a special surprise once her bath is finished!

Additionally, repeat views of the group 'finale' scene have a couple more options to view. Nothing special but just a little more events & dialogue!

The House Chores store post will update with the new v1.1.5 content when it's released. If you've already purchased it on Patreon, you will NOT have to buy it again.

For players who purchased a copy of House Chores on itch, I'll be updating the game files there too. My hope is that players can see the updated links in their download history.

Of course, HC is still unavailable on itch so you will not be able to purchase a NEW copy of House Chores over there. I am still hopeful that this problem can be resolved in the future.

v1.1.5 is meant to test how this process will work before the Epilogue update releases next.
