I've been lurking in this thread for a while now and I really don't understand why it is so difficult for both sides to understand the argument of the other. They are both correct in a way.
It is undeniably the case that the amount of content in each update is pathetic. This doesn't mean however that the dev is milking for subs but instead the dev is simply bad at processing AI images. While a good prompter could create dozens of images per day, this dev is doing more like 3-5.
It is up to his supporters if they want to continue supporting someone that spends more time trying to block people from viewing "his" work for free by wasting time with anti-piracy measures vs actually making content people are paying him for.
If people are happy supporting someone that is bad at their job/not job/hobby, more power to them. Telling people what to do or how they should feel about something never really works out but facts are facts.
The game looks good largely due to the fact that it is AI generated. Fact.
The game gets updated in terms of real content at a very slow rate. Fact.
The dev has wasted at least the last couple months improving paywall instead of making content for the game. Speculation.
There are countless examples of games with no paywalls that have thousands of supports proving to some extent that paywalls are pointless if your product is good.
I personally cringed at the aggressive paywall and wrote this game off and have just been watching the fallout because I find humans interesting.
End of the day, the dev doesn't own the IP and doesn't create the art themselves and please don't say they do because if they lost access to the model they use currently, the game would be dead or maybe they would change to 1 update every 6-7 months of 150 images If they do actually have any artistic ability. (with only 10 of them being actual sex, if they feel generous)
If you are truly upset with how this game turned out. Learn how to generate images and make a game called Better House of Shinobi. There are a decent amount of images of a few characters here to mirror similar results and it would be doing the exact same thing the current dev is so they couldn't complain without becoming more of a hypocrite.
