after cheking the "game " i can say that is crap,...but the original isnt much better ,parodies are nice when u see some resemblence between the original and the copy ,,if u want to create art do it but dont use the same plot,names,etc from the original,....amd ppl dont be hypocrites ,i dont see frank herbert's fans crying about behind the dune rip off,.......both games are bad ,....

Behind the Dune is a great game and it does work as a parody, you just don't know what it's parodying. Look up the Dune videogame (1992).

Stop with the AI, Low Effort, Etc. discussion nonsense. If you do not like the game then leave a review, but be detailed about it. Stop attacking the developer for using AI to begin with. I can't fucking stand AI usage, but you don't see me bitching and moaning on every single thread that has it. I simply don't play the game. You don't see me complaining about other tags I don't like because, again, I just don't play the game. The only one forcing you to open this thread and continue exploring the game despite clearly seeing tags that you don't like is you.
- For reviews:
- For those of you that forced yourself to play the game you clearly didn't like you still need to follow the reviewing rules. Anything not objective, single minded, or more low effort than "ai slop" will be deleted regardless of it's rating.
- For the "profit" arguers:
- What is in OP is something called a tip jar, not a for profit platform like Patreon or Subscribe star. If you look at my signature I also have a tip jar. Why do I have one? Because I have spent thousands for assets just for you all alone. I do not expect money from each and every one of you, but it is nice seeing a tip on occasion. Regardless of if I get a tip or not the content remains free for all and regularly updated. Wanna know how much I have been tipped? $35 total from 3 people. Yes. For four years of giving thousands in assets for free for tens to hundreds to millions of users to enjoy for free, I got $35 in tips. Am I sad about that? No. But just because someone has a tip jar does not mean they are making a game for profit.
- For the art theft arguers:
- I haaaaaattttttttteeeeeee AI. I absolutely can't stand that shit. I avoid it like the plague and cringe every time I have to approve a Game Developer that uses it. This user is making a non-profit free to play game using AI art. He's not for profit. There's no pay walls. It's literally just there for you to enjoy even if it's poorly done. Since they can't draw they used AI art to make similar art to that of the OG game which this is a parody of. Nothing is stolen and nothing is being profited off the original. Your complaints are literally invalid. It's the same argument companies make about "potential profits" so fake profits they made up on the spot that they wish they had but were no where close to actually getting.

If there is a better engine or system for a point-and-click style game, we’re open to suggestions and may switch based on community feedback. Further updates will be shared once development restarts."

I will be making this game instead of creating my own original one because I genuinely like the original game and want to explore what could happen next in that world.
Full credit always go to the original creator. This will remain a fan-made project and not an official product in any way.
The game will be point-and-click because I am not from a technical background and this style works best with my skills and time. The game will use AI-generated CG artwork because I cannot use complex software like Blender or Daz3D.
