No, the game originally had lewd scenes in first person, but was later changed to scripted. You can go back to the first person lewd scenes, by enabling the legacy lewd scenes in the settings menu.
No, but the devs are making an official VR dlc. It's gonna be a while, because they said they aren't prioritizing it until the game is done (something about how it would make development more complicated to have to keep updating content for VR and non-VR at the same time). They posted a video of the VR dlc a long time ago.

He was asking how to NOT play in ego perspective.
And the only non-ego perspective part are the lewd scenes. If you turn that off, you won't even have these in 3rd person.
Hello, I hate to be Mr. Dumbass about this, but I wanted to at least try FuckDojaCat's mod before I shuffled off from this game. I think I'm following the directions correctly, but when MelonLoader fires up, it terminates in a series of error messages, starting with being unable to find an executable. Log attached. I've tried cleaning the entire thing off my hard drive and starting over from scratch and running the file as an administrator.
I tried digging through the thread for anyone else having this problem, but the often-updated original post with the mod in it is many miles back, and like the guy says I'd rather not turn this into a bespoke tech support issue because in some ways game (unmodded) is as frustrating as it is entertaining. I also tried installing a standalone MelonLoader, which seemed to recognize the game but couldn't interact with the mod. Yes, I'm neurotic. Anyway, cheers.

You must make sure that you are playing the exact version supported by the mod, since it's a hardcoded change to the files.
It works for all selling platforms (GOG, Steam, Gamejolt, Epic, Itch), but it has to be the release version it was written for.

I also want to apologize; as was "foreshadowed" a few pages earlier, albeit just jokingly then... I'm more or less "forced" to lay off work on developing my mod now. Why? Because I've recently lost all access to all of my devices, which is actually a pretty big deal because this fucking means YEARS of work are down the drain but okay... anyways, I've kinda recovered by renting what's called a "Shadow PC" (it's a cloud gaming service, I like it so far). It's great, but obviously doesn't replace any lost data.
So... whatever you've got right now, please stick to it. As it stands, I actually cannot update the mod, even if I wanted to, because I have no access to the source code. My apologies. In the meantime, do whatever Nemo56 says

A upload to github might really have helped or a backup on a external drive, I have a RDX for my most important data besides a GIT server on my NAS. But I guess what's done is done.
ps: I don't think the game is dead, it's just complete ... almost. Still waiting for the content update.

Melon mods are what's called "managed code" so... shouldn't be too hard to reproduce from scratch. Plus it wasn't really that difficult or complicated to pull off in the first place, I still know pretty much everything that I did; if push comes to shove, I'm 99% certain I can just start over. But that's definitely not going to happen anytime before the game is actually "finished" and doesn't receive any more major updates that could potentially break stuff.A upload to github might really have helped

Yeah, would be pointless to do it now for a version that's probably going to be replaced soon.

You're able to change the color of clothes, hair, eyes and skin of the characters. You can also change clothes but there aren't any new custom clothes other than the pre-existing ones

Custom clothes for HP are very work intensive.
It's for example impossible to put the clothes of one character on another, every char comes with his own set of possible clothes. They most likely won't add what they don't use in the story, that would serve no purpose.
Of course it would be possible to add clothing variation, it's just no big gain.
At last I can give the outdoorsy country girl a nice tan. Her platinum hair will pop more from the contrast too.

There's still a "New Content" DLC thing yet to come, and nobody even knows what that's supposed to be, precisely. Could be anything. Worst case scenario: they just don't wanna let go of this game because it's what keeps generating money for them, until they put out the first "early access" build of OFFICE PARTY - prediction: we will get this, as soon as "House Party" stops receiving updates. If I was a shady business person, I'd totally do that. So look out for that.
Calling it now: as soon as House Party stops receiving updates, Office Party will enter the public... and hit the paywall, hard.
I know what some of y'all might be thinking: "Isn't it just logical to start working on a new project, once the old one is done?" and to that I say: NAY! Matter of fact, projects often overlap. This has been evident for a long time - work on "Office Party" has been going on for a while now, they make no secret about it.
The thing is: I believe they've gotten way too confident in their belief that "sex sells" while simultaneously attempting to have a game going on for over (how many?) years, completely ignorant of the fact that people can actually grow tired of "same-old" procedures. I myself am quite amazed that this particular "adult pornographic game" lasted as long as it did.
For me personally, this is no different than any Akabur visual novel, or maybe a "Senran Kagura" game with nude patches.
As in: YES it's not inherently meant to tickle your dick... but also, it's kinda tailored to tickle your dick indirectly.
I'm a bit confused because on one hand, it sounds like you're suggesting they should continue with House Party while introducing new content for Office Party. Yes. My perspective is that I do not agree at all with the way the developers of House Party (so far) have dealt with any of their content. I think it was wrong, wrong, wrong. Do I want "more" content? Sure. But please, not within this current game that's already kinda stale (just my humble opinion). They truly should move on.
I'm not entirely sure where you got that notion from, that made you believe I think they should continue with House Party content. Maybe I was drunk, idk, but I think I never said anything like that. I actually despise many of their decisions. And I wish they would just "call it a day" and move on to the next project.
