Question to peeps who work with DAZ on their animations.
I've been working on my anims over a year yet still can't figure it out except doing all the shit manually which takes way too much time and still looks wonky.
Tried mcjautolimb - never managed to work(just keeps returning errors before I even try to run the script, maybe I'm too dumb), pinning with puprle pins works, but to make it work is even bigger pain in the ass. Any advice? Is IK chain the solution? What do you guys do to make ends meet?

One could say "just do it in Blender", but we all know that learning curve with another program will take another month or so atleast.
Although I don't consider myself a noobie at DAZ , wanted to ask peeps who are more experienced/better with this than me.

While your question has been answered.
This..

If you want to do animations. you will really benefit using Blender or other tools that actually has implemented a proper animation system.
Daz is a great tool for creating characters, and render stills but its not a great tool for doing animations.
Also the auto keying "feature" in Daz is really annoying thing when working with animations.
I would do as many do, Use Daz to create the characters, export them out and use Ie Blender and continue from there.
you can even export out the animations you like and modify them in Ie Blender.
Imo it takes a special person to actually enjoy animating in Daz, cudos to thouse :p

Nobody enjoys animating in Daz, for sure, but it's made out to be much worse than it really is. It could do a lot of shit better, but it's good enough for the average developer. That being said, unless you want to spend a bunch of time learning just for feet, FuckOMatic isn't the best option. The UI is inept at best, and overkill for just keeping feet in place. If you're at all apt with animations, you're better off doing them manually.

Limbstick is what you're looking for:

The only thing to really keep in mind is the realistic limitation of a limb's movement. If it's weird/extreme, you'll get some weird results (like you can see in the first video).

True dat. It is kind of fun, tbh. (Still hard to get rid of doll-like type of motion, regardless whether it's TCB or Linear interpolation chosen)
It's just the limb problem that's been pain in the ass for me for ages.

Playing with stuff and adjusting keyframes while adding small tweaks here and there has been the most fun part of GameDev for me for the last year or so.
Thanks for the replies, guys.
