When I searched, I didn't see it posted regarding the fullscreen problem. Decided to try this game again and feeling nostalgic. Faced with the the same problem as a lot of you guys posting here. I found a solution for fullscreen in 16:9. First you select fullscreen 4:3, let it do it's thing. Then you select fullscreen 16:9 and it doesn't crash/blackscreen.
The only concern I have with Kagura translating dark empire is that don't they normally remove the H content and have to make it playable for steam release? Idk the extent that's present in DE and I'm sure its doable since some they made some other titles work, but thats the concern I have (Aside from localisation time).
Also regarding that twitter opening I sent, the dev originally sent it out in 2020 I think. So you can go digging to see what details the dev discussed from then until now lol. Either way yall might want to tag MK spoilers a bit more since some people like me are making their way through MK as a result of this game. Speaking of MK,

I don’t think I’ve posted anything that is too spoiler-y without a spoiler since the only one that could be is pretty obvious. However in terms of your spoiler spot I would say part “3” is a fair bit longer than 2.

Once again this is the company’s first game that came out 10 years ago, 5 years before magnificent kingdom the company’s newest game that got a translation about 3 years ago. If you have played MK then yes this one is a large step back, but this is the base of what made MK into what it is. Try the game out and see what you think.
The game itself is fun. Not enough CG per character if you ask me, but there's a lot of different characters. There was talk about having to hold it to today's standards... today's standard is a half finished VN meant to milk the supporters as much as possible for as long as possible. Or it's abondoned after the 0.02 version as the dev/devs got bored.
There's a full game here. With more complex mechanics than 99% of games here. There are CG's for all characters, one for romance and one for brothel.
As an indie game it's probably 3.

Huh, maybe... but then I wonder why the DE protag is shown during the Teaser since all thing considered he should still be alive after MK as not of the others have aged. Unless they retcon it since Atkasha confirms it's been over 400 years since Aira disappeared in FC.

Uh?? Sorry, I don't understand what you're trying to say, but just in case, the one that appears with Lyos isn't just the MC form MK?? I think the game form the teaser is a direct continuation to Lyos ending in MK (making that one the canonical end), where MC rushes to help him to the DC after he received an SOS letter, where he even offered Avos military might to help him and his master (that kitsune girls that was a god of wind or something like that). That would mean that we will just play with them after the events of MK, just some months/years latter.
This also means that by now the order is: MK -> MKDC ----- 400 years -----> FC -> DE
The only real problem with the timeline that I see, is that if each MC is supposed to be a reincarnation of the same soul (as the player), how can that happen between FC and DE?? Given that Olgea is alive after the events of FC and went mad in the DC so as to appear in the DE game, the MC from FC should still be alive. Either that or Olgea is actually immortal somehow, and a long time passes between each game.
Hmm, I knew I shouldn't have expected much since this game was released way before Magnificent Kingdom but I'm still pretty bummed that there's so little connecting the 2 games.

Yushia's character in this game is super shallow compared to Kingdom's too, if nobody told me Aria was Yushia I'd genuinely not make the connection.
Also, no sign of Malice causing trouble, Everyone had good intentions despite the weird ways they went about it (Seriously wtf were the Sages doing ? What was the point of all those taxes if they just wanted Aisha to toughen up ?)
Also also, what's up with the demons in this world and being stupid ? Both Grey and the dude in this game liked humans but kept trying to act evil for no real reason.
Playing this game feels like playing Yakuza 1 after playing Yakuza 0. You expect it to feel connected, only to be disappointed by the fact that the prequel feels like it was set in an entirely different timeline.
Oh yeah the story itself is pretty mid tbh. There's interesting shit in there like Atkasha and Olgea's plotlines but there isn't anything that wowed me like Magnificent Kingdom did.
