I think you need to sleep on the Park bench, if I'm not mistaken (at least that's what's been referred to when meeting the father eventually) - If the little House-Symbol is nowhere active yet, then, I think this might be the key to progress this one actually - but you can also see on the top-right if it gives you a hint for that. It's pretty ok that way as a quest-guide, methinks. And also the grind isn't as bad as in some other gaymes later in order to progress (some progress triggers are banking balance, which you need to still use for everyday spending - food and gym - but it's not taking away much from the income, i.m.h.o. - if you wanna maximize income, save before choosing daily actors and going on to the set afterwards and reload as often as necessary to get the superior income (only takes 1-3 repetitions if it's not triggered right away, I found).

What I did was going to the gym and depositing my stuff, then going to the bistro and haggling for some food, then in the evening going to the club and having a drink. This will automatically start a hookup and bring you to day 2.

MC will complain that it all costs money, but you shouldn't care, on day 3 you are given $1000.

Is there even anything past day one? I try to go to the dad's house on day two and am given a splash screen for their patreon. Mac version if it matters.

On day 1, you stash your stuff at the gym, then you can go to various places until the evening. You can then either sleep on the bench, or go to the night club. You will meet a hot daddy bear that you can hook up with, which progresses to day 2. Or you can decline his offer to hook up, and go to the arcade to meet a hot young hunk who you can hook up with instead. He spends the night at your place, and you can start day 2 then.

So those are the three ways you can get past day 1.

Played the 0.5 version of the game. The time progression sucks. If you enter a location without doing anything and then leave, you've progressed a bar in time. So you pretty much have to save before you do anything every single day because checking each location for an event makes you skip the entire day.

And then I was just doing story events and it took all my energy away and I had no chance to recover before it caused me to faint. Kind of ridiculous.

how did u download that version tho ? the file was only 25 mb or its mistake at my end ?
