I disagree. The problem is, NTR is actually like 5+ different Japanese words. With "netorare" and "netori" being most common.
For added complications, they all translate into English word "cheating".
The other side of the problem is consumer demands. There is a demand to separate games where you play as cuck from the games where you are actually the protagonist. Even though they might be exactly the same if adapted to non-interactive media, this is a very different gaming experience.
I'm well aware of the existence of Netorare, Netori/Netoru and Netorase, and again the problem is westerns failing to use a japanese word and trying to use MORE english to fix their own skill issues. The japanese already separate those words, dlsite separates the tags from netorare, netori and netorase.
To (取) in NTR means to take (no conjugation), so from here the next part tells you on which direction the "taking" takes place.
- Netorare (寝取られ). This is the "passive" act of having a loved one stolen by a third party.
- Netori or Netoru (寝取り/寝取る). The "ri" and "ru" at the end turn the word into the act of doing something, so in this case you are the one doing the NTR and stealing someone else's partner.
- Netorase (寝取らせ). from "allowing to", so allowing something to happen. This is when the husband or wife allow their partner to cheat or proactively push them to cheat.
- And as a bonus; Uwaki (浮気). This is cheating.
Words do have meaning and the Netorare tag is correct. The dlsite page has the tags "Female protagonist, Married woman, Netorare, Discipline, Trance/suggestion" and that tells you all you need to know for this game.
You play as a married woman, who falls into hypnosis (with a spell that makes her susceptible to mental changes and makes her lewd + gets a lewd mark and after the second night of getting hypnotized her confused brain gives in), who then gets "disciplined" and ends up being Netorared. (No uwaki tag, she doesn't cheat on her own volition, she's hypnotized).
The original tags are 100% accurate, but people here are "ackshually this is cheating because you play as the girl cheating" no it's not, she got hypnotized, if you refuse help she never gets hypnotized and you finish the game in 10 minutes without a single sex scene. This is 寝取られ 101. If y'all can't use japanese just use english words really. NTR shouldn't be an umbrella word for everything, that's why the japanese specify which one it is. 寝取られ, 寝取り or 寝取らせ.

I found this to be one of the weaker NTR games in both visuals and writing.
Such as Cheating On and Being Cheated On.
Both are NTR, but managing the tags in the current misleading way does allow people to have a more targeted search for what type of NTR content they're searching for.
Even though cheating is NTR by definition, it's possible that the people running this site wanted to make a distinction between two different genres.

That's adding context to a word that doesn't have that meaning and adds confusion. That's what the tag for "female protagonist" is for, you play as the girl being NTRd. Because let's be honest nobody cares if the dude cheats, this is a sex game so we care about the woman. If they wanted that they should add a different tag that actually means what they want.
For the record I'm not blaming the uploader, he's just following the rules.
Also, uploaders often just spam for the community without playing that they upload. If copying the tags from the official store can break the rule, wouldn't that slow down their job by making them be sure how the game fits with the tags from this site?
