It's been over 3 months since the last update, and there's been no post with news about the game in that time either. Per site game labeling rules, this got the Abandoned prefix added. (Had the dev posted some news in that time, the label would not have been applied.) That doesn't mean it's actually abandoned necessarily, but it's been labeled because of F95's policy on game threads.

Well this has a mighty nice beginning.
Its abandoned but the quality is clearly too great to just leave behind.
So has this been rebooted already, picked up by another dev or there must be something for the future of this project.

Yeah, I'm not sure on the status of this one. The dev's Patreon page is under review, so who knows what the outcome will be? I do hope this keeps going; I really enjoyed how it had progressed up to this point.

Hey! CaptainBl00d here — still alive, still standing.

“Where’ve I been?” Probably the question on your mind. Long story short: real life happened. 2025’s been a rough ride so far - work stuff, personal stuff, even some health issues. Can’t say everything’s perfectly fine now, but I’m doing alright. Good enough to come back here at least.

A bunch of my subs left, and honestly, I get it. But some of you are still here, and I really appreciate that. I mean it. I won’t let you down.

Now, the big one - the game.
I Need A Hero! isn’t dead. It’s frozen, unfortunately. The problem is, I used my old iPad to manually tweak the pics and make the animations (which were meh anyway lol). That thing’s busted now, so I can’t really work on the art or animations the way I used to. Yeah, sucks - but I’m figuring it out.

In the meantime, I’ve been quietly working on a new project. It’s a fantasy game with a male MC. No animations, less art polish needed, and way more manageable overall. It’s not as big as "I Need A Hero!", but that’s kinda the point. It won’t take forever to finish, and I think it’s shaping up to be something really cool.

That’s all I’ll say for now - don’t wanna spoil anything. I’ll post more details (plus a release date) later this week.
