Yes!
Dating isn’t locked by your character’s orientation.
What matters is the NPC’s gender and who they’re attracted to, not the player’s label.
To give a clearer example:
If you talk to an NPC like Dante, you’ll notice a green heart icon at first. That means there’s no direct ‘ask for a date’ option yet.
Dante is bisexual, and as your relationship with him grows, different events can unlock — potentially leading to a love scene instead. Ultimately, it depends on the player’s choices.”
“As for transgender characters:
– Trans Male NPCs have a male appearance but female anatomy, and they are only attracted to women.
– Trans Female NPCs (transgender women) have a female appearance but male anatomy, and they are only attracted to men.”
“So if you play as a straight male character, you are not limited to Lovescene only women.
There are Gay, Bisexual, and Trans Female NPCs who can be attracted to male players.
Romance is shaped by NPC identity, preferences, and your decisions — not by forcing the player into a single path.”
Additionally, I’ve added a small gameplay gimmick related to transgender characters.

If the player chooses a transgender option at the start of the game, this choice is treated as a genuine identity from the beginning. When purchasing outfits, the character’s clothing, illustrations, and poses may look similar across options, but their anatomy is displayed according to the gender they selected.”
As for how players can tell what gender or preference an NPC has—especially in cases where it may seem ambiguous—this is intentional.
I plan to include a dedicated dialogue option that allows players to ask NPCs about their attraction preferences. This interaction can open unique romance possibilities and, in some cases, allow NPCs to ‘break the rules’ and express interest in the player.”
This idea is inspired by real-life conversations. When I’ve asked friends who are gay about their preferences, they often don’t just answer—they ask back, ‘Why do you want to know?’ or ‘Are you trying to flirt with me?’
I want to recreate that natural, human moment in the game.
This system is planned for Patch 2.0.
For now, my main focus is on fully implementing locations, key characters tied to each area, and core gameplay systems before expanding deeper relationship mechanics.
If you have any feedback, concerns, or questions, please feel free to share them. I’m always happy to listen.
That’s exactly why I chose to release Early Access before moving toward Patch 2.0—to gather feedback and refine the system to be as reasonable and well-designed as possible.
