best tip: with renpy, limit yourself to showing pictures with dialogue and using renpy menu for choices. that's very very simple and easy, and every story can be easily told with those three things. do NOT try to add anything more complicated, it'll bump up the complexity a 100x easy and you'll end up quitting like 99%of people.

also don't stress about the quality of your renders. in a labor of love like this anything will be fine if you just get your dirty story told. the people who are into your specific niche will love the femdom part of it, not how polished your renders are. they'd be into it even as just text. or stick figures scratched onto a men's room wall. you scratch on a stern stick figure lady stomping on some poor guy's balls and they'll want to see it. they're focused on the idea, not the execution.

the people who'll complain, and there will always be those, are tourists who aren't really into your kink. that's why they'll focus on your renders etc. just ignore them and keep making the stuff that gives you the thrills you look for.

This is one of the really good things about using Renpy, the ability to see how others designed their code.
I play a lot of games just to see how their interface looks and how it feels to use them. When designing your own game you often get married to your own ideas since you've spent so much time with them that you know them instinctively. The problem is that new players don't have that luxury.
So to get to not only try and experience what a different interface feels like, but also to look at how its coded is an absolute godsend.

We're still stuck in this ongoing problem with a very small amount of western game developers who can actually make a decent femdom game, while the Japanese game developers are still the absolute king of it. Most of the femdom games made from a western developers are either really low quality dumb shit or something that is just abandoned before actual content starts.

It is a niche and I am not surprised there is nothing of value for it. Even something basic like striptease doesn't have anything gamewise. They did half decent games like Dreamstripper a decade ago that didn't have stripping animations and had clothes disappear magically (but at least you could choose dance moves). And AAA games that feature strippers like GTA they have dance without striptease (the dancer has a single skin and can't take off clothes).

To me, a good game depends alot on how much the dev likes it and enjoyed making it, it's noticeable when a Dev has put alot of effort and details into something rather than just pandering to polls or public demand for x or y content, so if you want a Femdom game, stay loyal to it, and make it something you enjoy.

Like, I'm fine with it if a huge majority of the people who play this game genuinely does not like femdom content. But it's those idiots who go onto the threads of a porn game that has a "femdom" tag on it, and expressing their distaste for that stuff. Here you have to turn a blind eye to this, everyone wants to see content they are into, everyone tells you what called their attention or what they would like, not that it's a must or it will ever fit in the story/context of the game, some people really enjoy a writer/developer work and then go asking for you to do things related to their own fetishes, just remember your game has to be always according to your desires, so you can always find inspiration to go on with it.

Once again, if you're willing to try your hand, just remember to make it something you enjoy doing and thus i'm certain you'll succeed, there will be always that one guy whos unhappy, but that just means this ins't their fetish/cup of tea

Good luck with the game. Since femdom is the genre you want to delve into, do your research. I'm not saying you already haven't, but go find vids/hentais of the genre and make a checklist of what you like, dislike, was fantastic or could be better, and use it to help make a blueprint for your story and kinks. It'll be a key to your success.

Porn game developers back away from fetishes they don't care for and are drawn towards fetishes to which they do. Don't blame others for not making the games you want to play.

My advice to you is think small. Think of a game you can start and finish, don't bite more than you can chew and abandon your first game. Additional advices:

1. Daz3d is a great way to get OK results if you're not talented enough to draw 2d. I wrote this article how to easily render OK images, how to avoid common mistakes. In a nutshell: review each render 10 times before you decide you didn't include any glitches you can easily fix.

2. Grammar, grammar, grammar. There are shitload of free spell checkers and grammar correction tools out there. Use them. IMHO nothing insults player more than typos which are easily identifiable, thus telling your players you don't care much about the quality of the game.
