News to me, tbh. I haven't heard anything about that or the other creators complaining, while at least some contributors like the Rosemary fork dev (while I don't think they're one of the 'old timers'?) seem not only cool with VP but are actively modding it. Though I'd also be surprised to hear much of anything from the other OG VH devs, since other than myself not knowing Japanese, many/most of them seem to have dropped out of the project long ago (as is reasonable for a project with a model like VH's, where you only have to contribute whenever & whatever you feel like it).

I did notice some very distinct differences between VP's world/characters and VH's, like Serena's characterization being overhauled and her already having met Erika before the events of VH. So I've always thought that if the creator did go on to make a VH-timeframe sequel to VP, it would already necessarily have to be more or less an AU take anyway.

I don't think VH Rosemary has ever been translated into English even partially, unlike VH Katteban. Doubt it'll get a translation (especially since it's on RPGM 2K like VHK or indeed the original VH itself - well you might have a little luck running it through MTool yourself, but I've never bothered to try so I don't know how that'll go) or quite possibly any further updates ever again either for that matter, as Rosemary appears to have switched over entirely to working on VP modding.

VH is being worked on still. VH01 is sunsetting, there is one developer who is finishing it up. there is a team of several people working on VHMV which is VH on a new, better engine - porting in everything from VH01 plus new stuff. it will never be finished.

i would suggest asking the VH community if it's okay to make a game using the characters...

There is grape and lolipop in this game, the one you link is somewhat tame hence easier to get permit for the staff. The game thread was up for couple days until people suddenly realized the content hence it got removed afterward. Presumably due to complaint

That just makes it worse as it's just clearer the mods pick in choose by their own whims rather than to abiding by their rules, given the rule is explicitly against "prepubescent" characters and the game you linked goes against that rule.

Not that the rule was ever valid to begin with given the other content they let on the site.

Hello,
You have to know that even if you have installed Japanese on your computer, and you extract the zip or rar file, well the Japanese files will be extracted with weird signs because the kanji will not be recognized.
I recommend trying WinRAR
You can download WinRAR from their official website at

So if you are using WinRAR, don't forget to click on CTRL + E and choose "932 AINSI/OEM Japanese JIS" so that all the files are extracted taking into account the Japanese kanji

Here's an instruction for using WinRAR to correctly handle archives with Japanese characters:


1. **Open the Archive**: Start by opening your archive file with WinRAR.
2. **Access Options**: Navigate to the horizontal menu bar at the top and click on "Options".
3. **Select Name Encoding**: From the dropdown menu under Options, choose "Name encoding".
4. **Set to Japanese Encoding**: In the Name encoding list, select "932 ANSI/OEM Japanese JIS" to ensure proper handling of Kanji characters.
5. **Extract the Files**: Click on the "Extract to" icon, making sure to note the extraction path, and then press "OK".

This picture is not from the game, it's just an AI generated image that was trained on the game image of Serena, the biggest problem is getting the original clothes during creation.
You can try it out for yourself on сivitai com by searching the model section for the keyword "Serena" and you'll find it.
