.I know this is late but for anyone in the future, that has issues with black /white screen but can hear sound, and is using virtualbox.
Going to settings, display and enabling "Enable 3d Acceleration" fixed the issue for me.
(I didn't need to do this for 1, but am now able to play 2 & 3 as a result of this change.)

For anyone in the future who's struggling with running this game, without constant crashes after 5 seconds you've started new game, on VM (using Parallels on Mac in my case):
Right click on exe file (zombie2.exe in this case) --> Properties --> Compatibility --> Under "Windows on Arm" section press "Change emulation settings" --> Find and press "Use advanced settings" and under "Multi-core settings" choose "Force single-core operation"
For anyone who's using translation layers based on wine (like crossover, whisky), I still have no idea how to run it cuz it's just shows black screen no matter what. Recommendation above (this one) just didn't work for me cuz I just couldn't find such setting and had tried all others to no avail. For me it seems like 3d Acceleration already turned on by default, it couldn't be done anything about it and it's just not about it (at least what I found on the internet). Or I'm just blind. Just use VM (like Parallels) and don't spend your time worthlessly guys
Never thought that my experience on trying to run 20-years old RTS games on modern PC system could be applicable for a game made in 2018 but here we are. Single core gaming in 2025 is still OP

The manga has continued past where the visual novel and original web novel ended starting at chapter 38. MANGAPLAZA(official English source for the manga) will be releasing chapter 38 at Sep 8.
Chapter 39 is also out on the official Japanese manga site
it is safe to buy manga chapter on MANGAPLAZA from my experience.
Latest release on MANGAPLAZA is chapter 34.
There is 18 and 16+ version but it looks like only the 18+ gets faster updates and 16+ version is behind by a lot.
