I have to admit, a lot of it was spent learning to program, designing characters and how to make them look good. Now with that figured out, future updates won't take as long and eventually I'll be able to hire assistance.

Yes, it's a combination of 3d renders with some 2d drawing. I put everything through several filters to give it a unique look and finally some VHS effects for vintage feels.
