Why the hell when I try to open the game it opens Steam?!

How do people mod this game? I assume this has no sexual content? Is the game good?

I just found the game again after some time and saw that this page hasn't been updated in forever.
I don't get why the mods for it aren't on it for ease of access.
I easily found this:

- Idol Manager Uncensor Patch which I imagine will already make the game better. Will come back with notes on it after I play it and add here any other mods I find that are interesting.

Hey, which version am I using to test the patch, the Windows version or the Steam version?
I'm asking because the game just came out on sale on Steam until June 4th.
