Putting this in here in case someone, like me, didn't know about it. A small tutorial:
In case you did not know, it is possible to drag stuff from windows folder directly into maker. So for example, you can open your character folder and directly drag a card into maker and it will open that character without having to use the load option in Maker character menu.
This is very useful because it allows to make changes to cards, both character and coord, much faster and more easily than loading and saving from within the char menu in maker.
How do I mean? Take for example you want to modify something on many cards. The example that I'm doing personally right now is backgrounds. I have a lot of cards for both characters AND coordinates that have differing backgrounds and this bothers me a lot. If I have to open, make the change, and save all within maker it can take a looooong time and usually after a bit the game starts slogging down.
However, if I instead open the folder of the cards I want to modify and maker at the same time, I can leave maker's menu on "save" and just drag each card over from the windows folder to open them instead of having to switch between Load and Save/Delete menus.
This works well with coordinates as well. You set up your character on maker, then drag the coord card onto it and poof it loads the coord. You can then make any modifications you want or simply click "save" if like me you just want to change the background.
The results were that now all my char cards have the char name in the filename, all my backgrounds are consistent (both in char and coord cards), and my coord cards have a consistent theme in terms of models and poses.
Advantages of doing it this way:
1) seems to work better, the machine doesn't slow down or hang as it does if you just do all actions within Maker.
2) you're not switching between menus. You leave the save menu open where you want and just drag the origin from outside maker.
3) A relatively fast way to change card backgrounds, re-save older cards to use the pluggin that adds the char name, repose and other things like that.
Disadvantages: it does work best if you've multi monitor or a very large screen.
