Well, today I wanted to post that my motivation to continue with this mod is really low because of everything that's happened. I can't even share my progress for fear of it being stolen and remade with AI.

And now I see that this AI mod is also coloring the kitsune images... so... I guess I'll put this mod on hold until I figure out what to do with it, since my current feeling is that I'm just wasting my time when someone else is doing it faster and with equal or better quality than I am.

So... if the creators of the AI mod want this thread, please let me know so I can ask the site staff to give them ownership.

I think you are seeing more enemies than necessary now. But i think you should step away for a bit regardless. I can see how hurt you were back then and its probably difficult to recover to the drive you had in the beginning. Just understand that people are still relying solely on your work and there is still no one coloring new pages, (even with ai).

Ai thread has been basically dead since last drama half a year ago. The only progress has been by Time Killer1981 who decided to add and color the ears to the kitsune variants of already existing colored images (without the use of AI). And they are using photoshop and i dont see how this is "much faster" since its just about editing some existing stuff, but it still took them considerable effort. They are trying to help fill the gaps of what you started. They are trying to help, not steal your spot.

It is sad to see you unable to get motivation to work back, but im also not blaming you if you dont. I am simply blaming the direction of world obsessed with AI usage is going with no respect to real artists.

Please don’t give up and keep going, because you can see it yourself: they have to steal your work for their AI stuff to function. They can’t do anything else but steal. They rely on machines because they simply can’t do it themselves and because they’re impatient.


Please don’t let them bring you down. Stay strong, and I really hope you continue. Your mod for Imouto Life Monochrome was absolutely breathtaking. What you created there was beautiful. Please keep going like that. I really want to have your mod and your other creations, because what you’ve accomplished is truly amazing and incredibly beautiful.


I also want to help you so you don’t have to stand alone. I even offered you a Discord server that’s already fully set up. But please, don’t let the AI win. It makes me sad that AI can do something so awful.


If you stop now, we will never again see such beautiful work from you.

I usually lurk, but I do want to say something.
As they say that imitation is the greatest form of flattery, as I was wondering about saying this for a while but I think you needed to hear this Daseson.

Still I can understand your feelings, as I draw in my spare time, and it can be rather un-motivating see all this AI art seeing as it is better then what I can make, as I have ideas but get a little over my head when trying to make them.

But the more I think about it, the more I realize one thing. That it always remains static, so it can only remind in the same place that it's always been unless someone feeds it something to copy, where the artist will always change, and learn something new, making each piece their own.

As it's a part of the process we make on our art journey.

Anyway, to make a long point short, it's okay to feel the way you do Daseson, so if you need a moment to think about what you want to do going forward that's fine, even if you need to drop this for a time and focus on something else to get back into a good headspace we won't blame you.

Still I do hope that you make the choice that's right for you, even if we don't agree with it in the end. As we all appreciate the work and effort you've put into both mods for the game.

Hope all is well with you and I'll be around lucking as usual after this...

I understand how difficult it is to see one's work blatantly fed into the slop factory that is AI.

However, Daseson, I would encourage you to create a simple twitter or a bsky before you decide to hand this thread to the person who's using AI.

I do not think that words alone can convince you. But I believe that you will be surprised in just how many of us who will immediately abandon this thread and follow you on wherever you choose to post your arts instead.

Hello, reading about ai stuff yeah its faster yeah..
But honestly saying, seeing the progress, the improvement ideas and the quality.
is very inspiring as doing colors might be very difficult to everybody,its not about ai,speed,quality at this point
its about style, your own style which is unique,with how you decide see,apply, colors is what matters.
so looking at your progress improvements i'll repeat is very interesting, and i look forward to seeing more
so no pressure, take as much time as needed

I just fixed the Gofile links.

I don't know when I deleted the folder where the mods were; I guess it was when I uploaded the Monochrome mod update... I guess that's what happens when you update a mod at 1 AM when you're already really sleepy.

Well, I logged in and saw that the moderators deleted some of my messages... so I guess someone is reporting me for spam, so I'll only reply to messages in my two mods threads to avoid this.

Changing the subject, I wanted to show this:

Daseson you're the goat for putting hardwork and passion on this, I really hate seeing what's happening.

Take all the time that you need and I hope you can get back up, it must be hard doing all this with the ai stuff going on.

I am not really active but I had to say something because I really appreciate what you do, it is really rare to see people put a lot of passion into something and your coloring skills are actually insane and you chose one of the best games on here so like holy WWW.

We have to see what we are missing because of people who don't know how to wait.

Everything was going so well until these 2 comments arrived:

I've personally modded my own game version with Midjourney-generated B&W backgrounds, and I must say, it's a pretty good improvement while waiting for the Steam DLC or the Color Mod. I also did recolor all the Hscenes on my side... It probably took me more than 10 hours of work, but it's not as perfect as Daseson's still. I can't wait to see the mod completed by Daseson - and what Inusuku's next game will be. I'm hoping for more animations and sound effects in that matter: the gameplay is already gold.

If someone knows some games with interactive sex scenes like this one, I'm listening

Do you want to share the hscenes? i know that they will not be perfect, I love das and understand her situation but she is going to end the H scenes when insuku launches his next game.

As always, a very special thank you to these 2 people for throwing the motivation of the creator of this mod in the trash.

Oh and you can rest assured because that AI mod is not finished and has not been updated in a while, in fact the creator of that mod said a while ago "I will wait for Daseson to update his mod to work on it again" that is, he will not update that mod until you update this one.

In conclusion, the guy is a parasite who takes advantage of other people's work even when you have openly told him that you don't like him to do it.

It's really ironic, really.
