Just wanted to let Dev guy know. The bread tests storyline and the encounter about the worn down ramp is absolutely heartbreaking and left me feeling pretty fucked It doesn't help my kid's that age. . 10/10 completely ruined the wank I was planning on enjoying. You've got a real talent for writing.
Alright I finished the game, and I have to say this is one of the few games on this site that would be better without the NSFW elements, or at least with significantly fewer of them. In this case, I actually mean that as a compliment.
Before i was Playing it because its a porn warhammer game now i play it for the story and amazing artstyle truly something i never thought would happen but here i am.
Absolutely no to that, i need more Sister Syrene. Although i agree this game has fantastic writing.
The setting isn't, I believe, 1 to 1 40k. So some elements may be different.
That being said... I believe whether you have something supernatural going on or not may largely depend on your choices in char creation. Some lean in that direction more than others.
Although I don't believe anything happens that couldn't be explained by an overactive imagination and your ability to make very educated guesses.
Basically there's plausible deniability. You may just be very good at whatever niche you choose to embody.
... but some shit might be going down, and you definitely have a screw or two loose somewhere that makes things seem like more might be occurring inside your head than just thoughts.

One thing about the game I've been wondering if the different assignments/episodes have any lasting effects. I'm not sure I'm seeing anything like that. Get Chubbs elected for example, get a pat on the back and that's it?
The elements you're seeing that are giving "flashes" of things happening elsewhere are pretty much directly inspired by Disco Elysium where similar touches was prevalent. With that said it could be explained as being pysker-ish abilities.

So I wrote the above half a year ago and since then I've replayed the game from the start and I've had a bit of change of heart. Now I think that some sex scenes that end up as very transactional actually do play to the grimness of the setting, especially if you are playing as more of an asshole (as far as you can do that in this game).
The soupline quest probably handles this the best with the sister coming around out of genuine affection if you don't require her "services" in exchange for the food. Some of the other scenes however such as the blowjob for fixing the bridge felt a tad forced. Same as in the above quote though, I understand why they are there.
I write all this and contradict myself by secretly hoping for a threesome with the sister and faux-sister.

Stories of people that are ''insignificant'' like a factory worker,cogwatcher or a sister working herself to death to feed people that she cares about has always interested me more than grand battles of spacemarines or swarm like armies clashing into each other(They're cool too ngl). I really wish titles like warhammer gave more place to the lives of ordinary people in their stories.

At first I thought so, but then I encountered french in some dialogue that seems "ou of place" to a native speaker (I'm thinking of Syrene's prayer during the cremation), so I'm not sure. Either ways, the writing is so good I even thought one of Disco Elyseum's writers was moonlighting on this game.Do you think the developper is french ? His writing is really original
This is great, and compared to some other things that have taken inspiration from Disco Elysium in ways that end up being slavish imitations of form over substance, this really feels like a thoughtful application of it to a setting that fits it well. With what happened to that studio, I guess this obscure Warhammer fanfic porn game will end up being the true successor to DE after all.
