My man have you played Monkey Business, his previous game? It was exactly the same. You could say no to a character and miss tremendous amount of content and lock yourself from additional options/choises. LM percieves his games as solid projects, not as ongoing development/improvisation, he has room for whims but doesnt base his games on them. Some options lead to additional options, some to nothing. Let him cook.
His previous project had the same issue with forced choices.

On day 2 you have to choose between fucking aunt all day, or going with sister and cousin to smoke.
When smoking you choose which of the two to grope. Later in the day the 3 of you are smoking in the attic where based on your grope choice you either:
A. fuck cousin while sister watches and masturbases. can not do anything with sister even if you already had oral with sister her multiple times
B. 69 with sister while cousin is passed out from smoking a joint.
Then the game skips a month ahead with NOTHING else happening.
So you had a forced "choice" between 3 different girls. even though there was absolutely no reason for them to conflict.
The fact that after those choice packed 2 days, the game time skipped an entire month and nothing else happened makes no sense.
it was just forcing the choice. why couldn't you fuck aunt on day 3 of 30? because the game wanted to force you to choose a "meaningful choice".
The problem is that meaningful choices should be reasonable and internally consistent with the story. Not shoe horned in just for the sake of having them.
there is also an element of "tell don't show". It critically needs for you to
try to reason with cass during the coup offer. For her to actually SHOW she is really mad. (and, I am not so sure she is mad so much as just
vicious. she needs someone to hold her back and soften her)
That's precisely the problem, but since your path wasn't touched, I guess fuck the rest of us, right? But if the Spare Cass path got shafted this update and you waited 2 months to go to sleep while everyone else had a real update, then that nonchalant attitude of yours wouldn't be so prominent, I'd bet.

Most of which revolves around cass dying DESPITE you sparing her.
It completely fucks over your harem dynamics and most likely ends with a bunch of dead waifus INCLUDING cass.
the least awful way for this route to go is for you to become cass' puppet. which still severely damages relationship with cass.
The best handled path at the moment is to join cass. and in that route it forces you to gleefully do so, with no chance to try to blunt her behavior at any point.
