Hello everyone.
I just finished adding sound, so version 0.8 is ready!
All that remains is polishing. I will check the update for functionality/bugs and release it.
So I think I'll see you here tomorrow.
Damn the outfits in this game are next level. Really helps you immerse yourself into the world.
Really nice game. Do not known if it ill stay like this til the very end as it seems to be a ambitious project by the developer, but until now, few things can be hardly criticized.
But i need to ask, what about Elin? I mean, what is the reason for her existence as a character? Dont take me wrong, i kinda like her but she just feel very odd to me. Take for example Cass, Mother or even Ophelia. All of them has or had objectivies or at least a reason for them in history. Cass is very ambitious and had a entire plotline for her, Ophelia probably are that kinda of character that are really strong and do not know it but is very sickly (kinda like miquella for example if we take the part of ´´not knowing about their power`` off) Mother is probably a super strong mage and clearly have political plans for the realm/empire. But Elin is simply just there existing and complaining about something. I understand that i am talking about a adult game and perhaps she is just there to be hot and get fucked by her brother and in the very end have a thousand of incestuous half elves babies who are supossed to become king or emperor in the future, but still is kinda dificulty to understand her as a character. All the character in the game who are at least what we can call ´´adults`` (we do not known theirs ages to really imply that) have political views and political plots and reasons to do what they do, everyone but Elin.
Once again, i like her. I even thinks she is the ´´main`` love interest for the MC (i known it is a harem game) but i cant just let it go without saying she is kinda lost in the whole plot. I am pretty sure Lazy Monkey has something important for her cooking in the shadows. She has that whole plot about portals, that are specially intriguing if you go with the ´´mage`` path, althought i would not be surprised if it just becomes a multiverse orgy between multiples twin sisters and the MC or even with him and his otherselvs, but i feel kinda worried that she simple will become a important character coming frow nowhere like Deus ex machina.
Anyway, it still in the very beginning of the game so lets see what Lazy Monkey has in storage for us. Until then, really good job. It is kinda of a fresh air here in the F95 and in the adult VN scene nowadays.

That is exactly the point of Elin IMO. All other characters behave differently based on if you’re on their side or not. In the context of an adult VN, the LIs other than Elin are examples of conditional love (except Queen Mother because well, she’s Elis’ mother), whereas Elin is what unconditional love is.
She’s the twin too, which give an additional weight to that love. And she doesn’t give a fuck about all this politics, she’ll be by your side no matter what. She’s probably really powerful as well, which could be a plot point later on.
Certainly seems that way right now, but I feel the nature of her character is precisely to give an escape from all this scheming. Maybe if we get better context of Elis and Elin’s relationship instead of multiverse orgies, we can appreciate her presence better.
I like how you totally ok with Ophelia who has mentality of 12 y.o. child and her only puprpose so far is to be cute and naive. I really wonder what her "views and political plots" might be.
To me Elin looks like the most intersting character as she one of the few who was internal conflict. Yes, she is apolitical and primary focused on the art of magic as it's her main passion. Not every character in court must be scheming bastard. She also is strongest mage of generation and potentility strongest of all so it gives charachter some flavour by itlsef. Well and the one more reason is MC in the game has 3 main perks/paths so every sister represents one. That explains existence of Ophelia I guess, who really feels like a totally filler charachter.

If LM ever decides to widen whole Elven plot (if there is something like that at all) she may play a bigger role in the game in the next updates than what role she is given currently. So in conclusion, among all the characters she has the greatest potential storywise.
I think at some point in the story MC will fuck up pretty badly -including dying- based on our actions or not. Dreams (?) we have seen, the one about MC's sisters after passing out at the dinner with the family kinda projecting this, their reaction to your death or your actions. Given she is a mage and all, considering how mages act in other fictions etc. misconception would be she would be a schemer or something like that at the beginning of the game. Well she is not and I am OK with this. Right now her role in the story is about being a safe haven, your ride or die kinda girl with magic capabilites, only one you can really trust.

Perhaps i was not clearly enough or perhaps my limitation with english do not allows me to be clearly as i wanted.
My point is, Ophelia has a reason to be there. Even if you arguee that she is just a Loli or something like this. She still are necessary for the players to understand the whole thing about that blood disease and like this we can understand that different from most magical worlds, in this world, miscegenation between elves and humans have consequences. Which are complete okay if you think better. Especially knowing that elves and humans are from different especies and not different races as many believes.
Althought i am complaining about Elin, I can recognize that Ophelia are not the brightest character to ever be conceived. But not all the characters need to be. Sometimes they just are necessary to make a point or just to be there for make things easy for the author.
I cant not view Elin in the same way. She is just lost in the whole plot for me. But once again, that probably will change at some point.

Elin's main point (twincest aside) is that she does NOT have a political agenda or some objective.
All the characters are trying to push MC in some direction. Cass is pretty obvious but also mommy the Queen has some agenda about the elfs with Valerie. Ludwig and the council as well. Elin doesn't. She stand by you no matter what. Even the prophecy says so.
She's generally disinterested in politics but is unwillingly a political figure herself, and because of that was forced to marry for an alliance. A good character evolves with the story, so I wouldn't be surprised if she became a shrewd political figure in the future in order to choose her future instead of enduring it. It could be a good character arc.

Just wanted to say that your English is definitely fine and your point came across. It's fair to criticize her character as lacking agency or plot significance. Reads like an informed take by someone who's reflected about the story, which, if I were the dev, I would have loved to read. I happen to agree with you even though she is one of my top LIs.

Hi. Here is version 0.8. As you may have noticed, I slightly delayed the release of the update, especially my work slowed down at the end. The thing is, I'm a little burnt out, but don't worry, I still enjoy developing the game a lot. I'm physically burned out - I've been at the computer almost all the time for the last few months and, to be honest, I'm tired. So for the last week, I've been touching the grass (snow) almost all the time, paying attention to development for only a few hours a day, which slowed down the release of the update. Since the update has been released, I think I'll spend a couple more days taking healing walks in the fresh air and return to development on March 4. Over the past few months, several questions and complaints have accumulated against me, which I want to answer.
1) The most frequent complaint is about the English translation. I use ChatGpt for it, and in this update I decided to try deepseek, of course the neural network makes mistakes, sometimes it does not understand the context, and sometimes it is frankly delusional. Due to my poor knowledge of the language, I correct translations as best I can. But if you find a mistake, send it to me. I accumulate such reports, and when a large critical mass is formed, I correct everything that has been sent in recent months at a time. I also get help from some people who send me a ready-made version where they fixed a lot of errors themselves. Thank you! I would mention your nicknames, but I don't know if you want to (if you do, be sure to write to me.
2) The second issue/complaint is that the content is not evenly distributed throughout the game, and some roots/characters have more content than others. What I can say about this is that I didn't expect people to play in multiple ways right away, which means they would notice that some path hadn't been worked out enough yet. Of course, I will not scold the players for playing in a way that I did not originally intend. All I'm saying is - don't worry. I will try to close EVERY path in the game and fill it with enough content. So if you think that the path you've chosen is meager for events, that's just for now.
Now a little bit about version 0.9, which I will start making on March 4. This will be the most extensive update possible. At the same time, I will try to fit enough content into any path you choose. I also want to pay more attention to the content for the Warrior's path. Recently, when replaying the game, I noticed that this one is a bit poorly disclosed and I want to invest a little more into it.

I just tried that with identical results. Switched server/country, the download restarted again, stopped again at 5gb due to quota... what am I missing here?That's what VPN's are for
Trying for the 4th time anyway..
Download Megabasterd. Go to settings, in accounts add your Mega username and password. Also tick "use smart proxies". For free VPN you have ProtonVPN. If stuck even after changing servers, simply force quit the program (it will resume), change the VPN server, restart Megabasterd and it should work again. Once setup, it is easy
