He is an ass and he is the reason why i gave up too. I mean because he cheated first, i didn't care much about what's happening to him. Something like "you deserve it!" along the way.
This is kind of a strange reason to give up for me. I get it if it's not your cup of tea, but if he deserves it I get invested in the NTR as a form of punishment. Wanting to see a character get NTRd because I hate their guts is a motivator for me, but maybe I'm weird.

No, i understand that. It's legit motivation. But generaly i'm someone who like to save the girl in NTR (yeah i'me the weird one ^^ ). In short i like it better if it's an hidden NTR, when i've to speed up to save the girl before it's too late, before she is corrupt to the point that she won't be able to stay your. So here i wasn't playing with the right mindset. The MC is an ass but the woman is also not that great too, even if it's understandable better because her husband didn't care much about her.

So noone deserve to be saved and i can't connect with either character.

Ah, I get that too. I'm only like that when I like both of the characters enough to dislike the NTR angle, or when I hate the NTR enough that even a bad relationship looks good compared to the other choices, or if the character is supposed to be literally me. In other words I'm a selfish story enjoyer.

That actually reminds me of an example of the NTR I don't like, there's a VN called In The House of the (something) Family, or something in that vein that I started and was like "I hate the protagonist because he's so overly dependent on the love interest and he has such a misery-porn backstory." He gets cucked by both his step-brother and step-father both when his mother was alive and when his girlfriend comes over to his house. I had no sympathy for the MC, but for one the game continuously has her being shared around (Sharing is an anti-fetish for me. Can be done right but most of the time it sucks) and also the NTR wasn't interesting for me. In other words I hated the step-family so much that I looped around on the MC's relationship and gave him the good ending (aka just pick "Get the fuck out of this house" in the beginning) before deleting the game. Even now I'll look back and be like "Wow, I liked that relationship" even though I know that me liking it extends from me hating the other version of events.

So basically you can save the relationship at the begining but it's like you not playing the game for long?
I've problem about sharing too. Like imagine being in a trouple relationship: it's not that far from sharing right? If it's good writing (and on this site, you can find good one in my opinion), i'm more than okay. If anything these game make me understand why a trouple could be a thing.
Having said that, sharing is generaly badly written. It's like most of the time, the person is a tool, becoming a sexual object for the one who share her. (and they generaly share a woman). The link between the two character isn't special, she is just an object for anyone here. It's used over and over, it's not interesting for me.

Also i don't plan to finish the game in this thread but i'm curious to know how it end.

Yeah, if you don't want to see any of the depressing content besides the opening premise you basically have to forfeit the like 2 hours of content for a short text summary saying "I moved out the house before I finished High School and my girlfriend came with me and supported me even though times were tough" The End. Ironically I respect that ending more than some games that have a routes where you have to save the relationship because the porn route of that game was based on the main character doing something out of character, while the good ending is in character for him.

The one game I remember not minding the sharing as much was the Shohei route of NTR Student Rep Yukino (IDK if I'm remembering the student rep part right). Shohei gets his gang to gangbang Yukino. I can't remember how good it really is right now, so I'll probably have to play it again, but it didn't irritate me like other sharing scenarios. I think it's because unlike some games they make this about Shohei and Yukino, the gangbang is his way of showing control over her, and it's not about the randos fucking her even though they get lines too. In other words, the gangbang is a tool Shohei uses, instead of a fetish that was shoved into the game just because the writer likes the fetish.

There are a bunch of games that I just dislike because they will randomly do shit like gangbangs and other shit despite it not fitting character motivations or even the story. "Oh I love this girl so much and want her to only be mine." Gangbang. It's like how I hate Edwin Black from Taimanin Asagi because he's a hypocrite and is constantly doing shit to mold Asagi into his mate but hates the dirty work of it. The games say he has a sense of honor but he doesn't and the retcons make his most evil subordinate that he is disgusted with the most, a clone created by him to be that evil. He is literally doing shit to get Asagi on his side, but never does anything except try to mindbreak her. His character motivation doesn't follow his actions so he ends up looking like an idiot. Even Yazaki of Taimanin Yukikaze is better, because even though he's a stupid asshole what he does makes sense. Except in the bad endings of the game that are purely for shock value.

Just a warning before you play:
If you are looking for a reasonable MC, play something else, Joff is an absolute hetare vermin that only exists to submit to others.
