There is the option to be cheated upon, yes. I don't know all paths intimately, though. How much MC can control vs. how much you can control the MC is up for debate. If MC couldn't control 'shit' it would be a kinetic novel, and that's not this game. Sure, let's you can choose for the MC to not have control over specific situations.

i think this game has a unique style and not focused on the regular styles what you see
in other games , it is not strongly focus on one aspect , but a mix and imo opinon a good one
