Seeking Incest that actually feels like Incest

I know, there's 5 other threads being recommmended to me right now from people seeking incest, but my issue is a little more specific.

I'm tired of "I've been away for 10k years" or "Eheh, I have amnesia and don't even really remember these women, they're hot tho" or "I wrote them as roommates for patreon, and so didn't put the work in to make the relationships feel genuine even if someone patches the relationships and names."

Frankly I'm also kinda over the tropey "one sister is a bitch and the other is an innocent angel" thing... Incest, by itself, is a really good hurdle for a relationship to have to get over, and the girls can have agency in a story too...

So yeah, I've played pretty much all the big stuff pre 2020. Any suggestions where the incest is actually important to the story?

I've been searching for this kind of thing for years but none came even close. Too often, the concept of incest was treated like a not-so-strong barrier to keep mom/sis/daughter from blatantly jumping the MC. For aunt/cousin, 99% of the time incest feels like nothing at all. This barrier can be simply shattered by a few lines such as "this is wrong...but why i felt right?", "I'm such a terrible mom, craving cock of my own son", "we can't do this...aww...don't stop please"...

Some games did try to play around incest as the central idea, but the most common way is just simply prolonging the progress. I haven't seen any game could successfully present the struggle, back-and-forth, taboo excitement, etc. The first few updates of Guilty Pleasure really got my hope high but it comes that "shameless aunt" you see every other incest game whose purpose of existence is to speed up the breakdown of the incest barrier.

Mechanism-wise, I think incest should be presented like the modded Lab Rats 2, with multiple phases such as "default forbidden", "initial disgusted", "passion breakthrough", "regretting but sill tempted", "limited acceptance", "full embrace". But the problem with Lab Rats is that it's not a VN. All characters are passive except for MC. So there's not much room for a good story.

Sweet Affection fails for the same reason. Although the multiple phases (levels) are divided physically, not psycologically.

For me, it's not so much about how hard it is to cross the barrier, but that it feels like the characters actually are family. Like, these are not people who you just met, they have established relationships and that relationship informs their behavior.

If you have one sister that you're closer to, I don't just want to see her be nicer to you, I want to see them interacting in a completely non-sexual context before we start advancing that relationship to that level. I don't particularly like the "older sister hates you" trope, but like, if she does, why? A few of them have no reasons... others, the reason serves as an extra barrier that itself makes the incest barrier insignificant. Like... if she hates you because you've proven to be a voyeuristic pervert/molester, then yeah, that's a valid reason to hate you, and that will become the focus of this relationship. Usually you'll blackmail her or use some sort of magic/science to get past it... but like... because of it we never get to view the two of you actually as siblings... only as enemies.

So yeah... I want games where the incest isn't incest because the blood between you, but because the relationship between you.

Also, no loli. Like, high school girls, maybe, especially if MC is the same age, or the point is the corruption by an authority figure... but nothing younger.

Maybe, in a way, Haley's Story is the kind of a game that deals with incest in the manner you ChildofIshtar and chuangshiren are describing.

Main focus is on the one love interest, MC's twin sister, there are some side chicks who you can (probably) choose not to pursue. And the progression with Haley feels quite true in terms of that "sister-feel", if you will. I do not have any siblings IRL, so I don't actually have an experience of living with one, but still to me this game felt quite life-like.

They have daily routines. They have memories. They have inside jokes. They go through struggles together and support each other. She has her mannerisms, like she calls her feet "footsies", or later in the game she calls anal sex "ass-sex". That last thing may be just a small detail, but to me it plays a disproportionate part in how her character feels dear.

And thank goodness there really is a rather slow burn progression. And it kinda follows those stages of unacceptability -> doubt -> curiosity -> limited acceptance and flirt -> romance and actually being a couple.

Thank you, I have thought about giving this one a try... Incest isn't the only kink i'm into, so I don't need to avoid other relationships, it's just one of the most useful for me. As a girl forced to play male protags if I want a game where the point isn't to avoid being raped every 5 seconds, it's nice to have a strong kink to overcome the role issue. Certain forms of corruption or power-play work really well too.

I was just thinking about this yesterday. I was playing The Tyrant, and there's a part where you can dry-hump your innocent little sister in the kitchen, and instead of her freaking the fuck out and getting you immediately kicked out of the house (or the game just not giving you the option to do that yet), her reluctance only goes as far as "I don't know, isn't it wrong? We're brother and sister" on the very first day. Granted, part of me is impatient and wants to see kinky stuff right away, but that's a bit much.

I haven't played Lewd Island, but it seems like that type of setting (or maybe a post-apocalyptic "last two people on earth" type of thing) would probably be the best way for incest to actually be believable. Like, if there was a survival/crafting game where you do one action per phase (morning/afternoon/evening), so that each day passes in like one minute of real time, then an intimate scene with the MC's sister/daughter that took 30 minutes of play time to get to would only be happening after these two people had been stranded all alone for a month with no hope of rescue. If you thought your family member was the only sexual prospect you'd ever have for the rest of your life, you'd probably start to rethink some taboos as well.

Other than that, without resorting to something like mind control (Life is Good) or blackmail (probably a lot of games), I think the only way for it to really be realistic is if it was a brother and sister who were just kinda wired differently (maybe with absentee parents who don't teach them societal norms), and had just never felt that repulsion most people have at the thought of fucking a sibling. Or maybe if it was parents who had intentionally groomed their daughter to see them as prospective sexual partners from a young age, but that's pretty creepy even if they don't actually consummate until she's 18.

Then again i could be wrong. But this setup exist in lots of games. We can easily get confused! I do remember this game better than most because is one of the point and click ones that I do not hate completely.

You make your sisters Start doing photoshoot, probably a porn route in the end game. The progression is slow and somewhat believable.
