Hey everyone, Update 0.2 is here!

This update mostly fixes v0.1 bugs, and adds most of your suggestions. I appreciate every single one of you helping.

I added a changelog, so that you can see exactly what's new/changed.

I'm getting a lot of errors from my saves for both paths, so guess we need to start playing a new game from the beginning.

On Path 1, it seems like Beatrice might be a little broken.

1) She has no option to give her gifts, so it requires 50 "Talk to Beatrice" spams to get her to 5.0 affection.

2) In the walkthrough for 1.0, it mentions at affection level 3, she should have an option to change outfits. That never shows up.

3) Also in the walkthrough, at affection level 5, her quest is meant to be offered, and it also does not show up.

P.S. Oh! Also, after the cave rescue quest, a screen of Sable in town momentarily appears every time I transition to another location. Seems bugtastic also.

Lovely game, it's very grindy without the cheat, but a very solid start, nonetheless. Thanks for the hard work and best wishes moving forward! Oh, also looking forward to the Walkthrough 2.0 if that's on the horizon soon, 1.0 was very helpful, thank you!

*edit* Beatrice's quest did show up the next day when I visited after reaching 5 affection, please ignore #3!

Overall in this early stage it's an interesting game. I'm a sucker for medieval setting fantasy games. Normally I would wait to play a game until it's much later in development, but this one piqued my curiosity. I went the blacksmith path and focused on grinding that stat initially until it was at 6.5. That alone was quite the grind. I have aging eyesight and do not read very fast, so I appreciate the scrollback feature in games. Yours is lacking it and in the intro you even caution against it. Thankfully, Unren fixed that. First suggestion, fix that and the grind for stats. You already have someone that left a one star review due to the grind and I agree with his opinion about it. It is a game killer. After grinding the blacksmithing stat up to 6.5 and Isabella to 1.0 I started looking to see about cheating. By then I had the mushroom quest for Miriam and only 74 gold from blacksmithing and the reward from the guard for finding her letter. The mushroom quest should be a "fetch" quest, but the way it is set up it's more like any of the "gift" quests just more expensive. Better for it to be introduced after access to the forest has been unlocked and MC can just forage for them. Grinding hours to just buy the mushrooms to see the payoff gag is not worth it and you will lose player's interest and add to their frustration. The AI artwork is better than any DAZ copy and paste out there. I like the variety of model types. Good luck and I will be following this with interest.

Well, they are moving images. Doesn't that count as animation?

If it's wrong, I can always remove the tag.
The "animated" tag usually indicates animation in the sex scenes, and that's what people like me are looking for when we see that tag. For the planned tag update by the site admins (whenever that finally happens), I believe there will be more nuanced tags available to specify what is animated. Until then, I think the tag should be reserved for sex scenes. One has to think why ppl care about that tag, and having still images get a little bigger and then a little smaller in a loop is the sort of thing no one expects that tag to represent when they think about animated content they're looking for. You're basically just leading ppl to disappointment by having that tag. That's my two cents.

Lovely game with lots of potential! God job so far! I am on Path 2 some of the girls affection is 6+ and there is no choice for outfits or doing anything further. Is there a quest I have to complete first or just a bug? Thank you!

Unfortunately, yes. I'm still unsure of how to "preserve" earlier saves. I understand that this is definitely frustrating, but I have no clear solution to it.

The only way I can think of combating this, is to somehow predict all of the future variables, quest triggers etc., and then implement them early on. I’ll continue looking into ways to improve this for 0.3, but I can’t guarantee a perfect fix just yet.

1. I wasn't sure about adding the "Give Gift" options to the merchants. I'll think of a way to make it work.

2. Yeah, i might have fucked up during some checks. It seems that I used an "AND" instead of an "OR". I fixed this, and I will reupload the games tomorrow. This should fix Amelia's, Beatrice's, Gwen's and Tess' outfit option. The new version should work with your saves.

I also think I fixed Sable appearing, even though I couldn't recreate the issue. Let me know if it persists.

I understand that I have failed to create a balanced connection between gold and game progression. As a matter of fact, I'm re-releasing this version with some minor changes per work activity. For example:

Blacksmithing:
Lvl 0-25: raised to 15 Gold
Lvl 25-50: raised to 25 Gold
Lvl 50-100: raised to 35 Gold


Combat Victories:

Pool of possible gold earnings increased to 20-50. Used to be 10-30.

About Miriam's mushroom quest, it's supposed to be a long-running quest, that delays Elowen's introduction as a character (since you need to progress with Miriam to unlock her). I thought about it as a quest that would "run in the background" while the player either collects money for the purchase, or searches the town square for mushrooms (5% chance). I won't change this yet. Please let me know if this improves with the gold balancing mentioned above.

The updated version will be available tomorrow. I'll let you all know when it's up.

Sorry if I'm misunderstanding. Did you check out the sex scenes?

Since they're not just still images, isn't what I have some sort of animation? If others agree with you, I will remove the tag immediately. I have no intention of tricking anyone by misusing the tags.
