Well it is going to happen, just need to be patient.
It's not that i don't know it's going to be there, it's more that you make an entire fantasy about space with aliens and high tech and you just use humans (as of posting this comment). I mean you can literally come up with a million different species and yet it's all either humans or something human like with 1 or 2 differences. Seriously if you make something about space with aliens, why not ya know make aliens and use them actively.

Interesting developments so far :) Unfortunately this version is not running very stable for me.

I had some crashes while I went to the gym or medsec the first day. I could progress the story going to command.

Then on the planet we talked to Naaka. Now after this conversation I get this:

It seems to have something to do with the NPCStats, but I have no idea how to change that.

This is what a friendly Person in the Help section suggested:

Check line 108 of controllers/EventDispatcher.rpy and NPCStats class.
Seems like a typo to me, check how "available" is usually used, perhaps it's a function? Either way, it doesn't have that attribute (or if it does, it's called something else).
Am I really the only one with this issue?

Great game, I kinda just wished there was art on the sex scene or very intimate scenes because it just kinda awkward watching them standing just naked lol but its amazing!

I wish the same! We've explored different options on how we could possibly and cost effectively add these, but it doesn't look viable.

That said, our newer, straight male adult focused game (Codenamed Project Syndicate) will have sex animations.
There are always trade-offs that need considering.

For Infinite Stars, you can play as he/she/they (I know some people are very outspoken at hating the 'they' option, which is a little silly, as all it changes in the game is how people refer to you) and you can choose your genitals. (Again, if the they option really bugs you, just choose to play as a he/him with a penis, and you'll still have a pretty decent straight (or gay if chosen) time playing the game.) BUT these options make it difficult to add animations/sex scenes, because we need to draw the LI with a male mc, a female mc– and then the options like the portraits, (and adding new portraits means having to redraw all previous sex scenes), and the descriptors like being tall/short, breast sizes, body shape etc. It just isn't viable. And having a 'mannequin mc with no features' in the scene might work (we've considered it many times) but ultimately it would probably break immersion more than just having the nude sprites would.

With Project Syndicate, the mc is a straight male, so we can add little sex animations, BUT you can't choose to play as a female, or gay male (yet. Potentially not ever, depending on budget and project success.) You also don't have the option to change mc's appearance.

I also really really want to do a game with a character customizer, where you can visually build your mc, (and a huge focus on dress-up/outfits) but again, animated sex scenes might be an issue.

It's always a bit of a trade-off, more so on a back-pocket indie budget, but it's definitely not because we don't want to or haven't thought about adding illustrated/animated sex scenes.

Happy Friday, everyone!

It's a great one because today is launch day!

We've been working very hard on this one, and we're sorry it took a bit longer than usual. But I'm happy to say we're in good shape for the next upcoming release.

Some highlights that you can look forward to in the newly released content (minor spoilers ahead):

If you and Matthias have been making eyes at each other, you can share a very tight, uncomfortable ride in a small elevator. You won't be able to help but 'accidentally' rub up against Matthias and fluster him.
If you want to get a little closer to the enigmatic and usually inappropriate Andreas, you can do so while on a chaotic shopping spree for some exotic substances.
If you just want to spend some slice-of-life time with Veera and Khalil, you can meet some new friends and pay homage to some loved ones. (You are loved and missed, and now you are forever immortalised little sweetpea.)
If you have a thing for the strong Captain types, you'll have the opportunity to make some suggestive comments and take some mildly inappropriate actions.
You get to meet some new alien species. Some of them are icky and gross (and yet also sexy, according to feedback? \o/)
A new sexual orientation system that allows you to pick who you want to be able to flirt with.
A new rival system (very new and not fully fleshed out yet.)
A new status message on the main menu will show you how much of all the available content you have experienced. (It's impossible to hit 100% right now due to some seasonal content.)
All the regular 'new' stuff: new music, new backgrounds, new characters, new portraits, etc.

We also added some niche scenes that most of you will probably never see. The conditions for these to trigger are stringent, but they hit the spot just right if/when you do see them.

Now that this release is done, we'll probably take a break for a day or two and then jump back into things. Our attention will shift to working on and releasing Project Syndicate in May while still working on Infinite Stars on the sidelines:

Bugfixing and polishing existing content.
Adding some more intimate scenes for patrons.
Adding some more cutesy ,non-intimate scenes.
Expanding on the friendship and rival system.
Finalising and adding the new outfit system.
Finishing the next (halfway? done) content.

Those of you who have been around for a while know that we love doing cross-promotions during releases, and this release is no different. We have something special thanks to Esh from Steamberry Studio, the creator of When Stars Collide!

That's disappointing, you have a game about space with aliens and you get nothing but humans.
We have a ton of aliens (some are in-game already) and we have another dozen or so that aren't in-game yet.
As another user mentioned, they are coming, but, same as the sex scenes, they need to make sense. Adding them for the sake of adding them will make it feel flat and rushed.

But yes, they are comming. (and cumming, if we can make it make sense!)

Mate, you are awesome! THX for taking this so much to your heart and being all over the place to try to resolve this issue. I will hit ignore and see where this leads me ;)

But before you replied today I actually already made up my mind to start over again. I very much enjoy my MC and would like to continue her story, but there are some choices I made in the past that I guess I would do different now. And I think your narration is pretty amazing that it allows so many choices. So if the first save is broken, I will definitely have a new story in the making.

They took a little longer today :D


Happy post-launch Friday!

The feedback on the new content has been great despite the fact that the old saves are no longer compatible. (We honestly try to minimize this as much as possible, and I estimate we'll have one more save-breaking update in the future once we start implementing the whole monogamous/polyamorous LI content.

I've taken a bit of a break (I took a day off earlier this week) while working on Project Syndicate (A 40K+ word behemoth right now), and I'm already hyped for adding more regular, smaller batches of Infinite Stars content while we work on the rest of Episode 4. (We're still looking into what these will be, most likely some friendship content, more intimate scenes etc.)

Veera's pinup is going out for patrons on Monday, and Franco is planning to draw Khalil and Kiaria for next month.

In all seriousness though something I am curious about, how is this game going to handle double timing? From what I understand we already have the ability to pursue multiple people at once which at least from the way I see it is inevitably going to blow up in our face at some point. Are there any plans for how or when this is going to happen? Presuming of course it is planned.

Oh! And the Tabitha AI, is that route far off in the future?

A Yandere AI? .... damn, the number of playthrough's I'll need has just increased. And here I was thinking the Cephilusk route would be my favorite.
