After messing around with this for a few days and almost deleting it more than once - despite its obvious flaws - the CONCEPT he is trying to implement in theory could be incredible..

Theres a whole bunch of issues that need to be ironed out and sorted you're all aware of them and we don't need another bug list post.

However in terms of the basic framework for creating our own almost unlimited amount of situations or scenarios more or less in anyway you want AND have the Ai engine remembering said conversations, choices and situations/events is something that could actually make this game a bit revolutionary..

Like thats more or less what we've always wanted right? a game that we can actually create around ourselves and shape stories and witness the real time consequences of them? as opposed to playing the life of some fictional MC on a set of tracks.. and in theory if this can be balanced properly... this could actually tick a huge bunch of those boxes in the long term.

There's obviously a million other things that need to be addressed - but this CORE idea at the very least - does open the door to a whole new level of gaming as and when someone perfects it.

Like just for example imagine if they combined the freedom available in "lifeplay" with this system and better graphics? id pay for that!

Not bugged, just heavily depends on the preferences of the target NPC. The more you do it with them the more you "influence" them into liking that specific sex (oral, vaginal, anal, etc.). The main downside with the new system is that you don't see the pleasure bar if you don't know the NPC well enough so you really have no idea if you're doing good or not.

Anyone has a recommendation for LLM which would be uncensored and explicit? I managed to get the "small talk" going but once we get to anything more explicit AI sh*ts himself.
(I'm using ollama on Mac with model artifish/llama3.2-uncensored).

Also, the developer could use experts from the "rainbow" community to get that part of sex acts right.

I think more interactions would be better, rather than wider content. Look at Artificial Academy 2 and this. Or even Daggerfall and this, since it had a lot of fun interactions and random generation as well. Like maybe it would be good to add random errands with people, some asking for money, some to buy food, find a person, or to get some information about someone and give it to the person who asked? It would also benefit from some competition with in-game characters, so that i will have something meaningful to do, other than being a stalker, working, doing/watching sex scenes and meeting new people.

Oh well, i guess it's all coming in the future, no real reason to suggest stuff when it's easily apparent what can be added.

The concept is neat but the feature needs more work than is worth imo.
The game was in a good spot prior to 0.1.17.2 and it feels sluggish and unresponsive with the AI stuff. It's also, not really something that works all that well with this game. Countless times the AI chat would break on the UI and overrun it with no scroll and no continuation into another block. The in game chat history is also exceedingly tiny...like made for ants kind of tiny.

It was neat seeing a more engaged cast of characters though i'll give it that, but i don't think this tool is being utilized for the right type of project. Renpy games are generally light on the hardware side of things, asking players to run things that stress even some decent GPU's capabilities is questionable at best.

I agree. It's sort of a mess. Neat concept but AI conversations are already sorta questionable even if nothing else is going on (e.g. having a chat with ChatGPT), throw smut and slang/natural language on top of it and it's... very ambitious.

In the meantime, the game runs much worse, the sex scenes are worse than before (10-20 second waits in between actions while it waits for a response, etc.)... if we don't get an option to turn the AI stuff off entirely, I'm afraid I'm gonna have to set this one gently in the "could've been good" pile and move along. Which is a shame, because I love life-sim games, love char creation, love sandbox, and love cuckery... but it's pretty painful/unplayable right now.


edit: Also, to be clear, I don't say this with any hate in my heart. I feel bad for GC because I feel like this is a pet project that just didn't work, which can be pretty devastating to one's morale. I would not be surprised if we're nearing the end of development/approaching abandonment.

This is basically how i feel here too. I can see what they wanted to do. If they had decent AI integrated then they'd have to do less work to setup a functional world state. It would just be something that allowed people to live out their own wish fufillment with minimal assistance from the Dev or mods. Unfortunately that didn't quite land properly.

From time to time I come in here to read what you guys are saying. But this time I had to login just to left a public laugh.

I know you are very concerned about the future of the game, also very concerned about my mood and is just trying to cheer me up with this comment. I can clearly see it... But everything is fine. My morale is better than ever!

You must be new to the whole idea behind Influencing so I will tell you... I'm making a game to my own fun, and sharing the result with public for free. It's not for money, it's not for public opinion, it's not to immortalize my name in the history of porn games or anything like that. I'm just sharing a game I decided to build with stuff I always wanted to have in a game.
Complaints are usually louder than compliments and maybe that's why you're under the impression that this version might have been a failure, but it hasn't even been released yet. It's under Patreon test phase to go for public later (only officially, because in practice it has already become public). The AI is on the first steps and it will work. Just be patient. Also the server is comming and the use of AI will become a lot easier. And besides, AI is not necessary to play the game. Influencing came all this way without AI, and now AI is just a plus for anyone who wants to use this tool. The Vanilla game still working and being produced as always. Nothing changed.

And please don't take anything I'm saying in a rude tone. If you've heard me speaking anywhere, you'll know I'm not. I'm really just trying to explain how things work for me and Influencing development.
