I wouldn't say that every single character is an outlier. There are definitely a few unusual ones (Maria, Tirria and Camilla), and some that are pretty average, but displaced from their normal lifestyle/habitat (Sacha, Kirana, and Ritsuki), but there are quite a few characters who are typical of their respective races (Vera, Beth, Alice). However, thanks for bringing that up, I'll try not to make too many unique snowflake characters in the future.

The map thing is definitely something I've been looking at. In the next update you will be able to jump to and from the counter of the Inn, which should save quite a few clicks. Going forward, probably any location that has more than a couple rooms will have a map jumping point.
As for charisma, it has the lowest gains since it is by far the easiest stat to raise (You can raise it up to 4 times a day) but I'll take a look at the gain rate in the next patch. More ways to spend money will also be coming in the next patch, however the gold system almost entirely a placeholder at the moment. In the future it will be used in a much more involved system for managing the inn.

Oh don't get me wrong here. It is not that I dislike any of the characters - I do in fact like them quite a bit specifically for being something other than what the world gives out in terms of information. It just struck me as odd that we basically have so many of these out of place characters converging in on a single frontier town. Though then again, we don't know exactly what the grand plan of the goddess entails so who knows what will come of it in the future. I also wouldn't want to step on your toes and tell you to make characters in one way or the other, I was merely stating out how it felt to me meeting them all.

In regards to attributes, well I tend to raise my stats evenly in games like this before working on the characters available to see if there are potentially extra remarks that may get locked off by missing stats and to not get hampered by them missing when they are thrown in as skillchecks - there are some games that did that so it's just engrained to me at this stage - so I basically had each stat grow a bit each day, which is why I noticed that charisma lagged behind my other stats in the first place.
I'm also very glad to hear that there will be a more involved money system coming up in the future. For now, the whole economy felt a bit too token to be an involving bit of gameplay - neither an obstacle to manage, nor significant gameplay benefit, just a system in place.
And a small bug I've found in version 0.025 - the Harpy history book in the library opens up the first line of the Oni book, not Harpies and then immediately closes.

The developer should give a weekly update on development progress. Such as has bars with progress.

Despite having to work a ton of overtime, the next patch is still on schedule for the end of this month. Depending on my workload in the foreseeable future, I may be able to push the release date up by 1-2 weeks, but that really depends on my workload going forward in May.

What to look forward to in this patch:
-Vera's storyline expansion (3-5 new scenes, and numerous conversations and repeatable actions).
-Beth's storyline (4+ new scenes and a big overhaul of her character and content)
-2 new side characters (Both involved in Beth's story, and one with 2 adult scenes)
-UI upgrades (easily track progress with girls you've met, and get hints on how to meet girls you haven't seen yet).
-Money rebalance (More upgrades added to the inn, and a more balanced system to spend gold).
-QoL fixes (Removing unnecessary clicking by adding a button to jump to the inn's front desk, as well as the ability to have Vera automatically clean/fix/decorate the inn as you advance her relationship).

Added to this post is a preview of one of the new locations and characters that will be released with the next patch. Observant readers will also notice the addition of a "days of the week" feature to the game, which will be used to influence events and characters moving forwards. Also a small sneak peak of one of the side characters who will be appearing in the update.

Ah, somehow it slipped my mind to put an update on this site too. Thanks for linking that devlog!

For everyone:
The update is still on track, should be able to release by the end of the month unless something goes really wrong. Please look forward to it!

Well dang, didn't realize I had missed that many typos. Thanks for pointing them out for me.
Old post I realize but just saw it again.

I know that you and I had mentioned spelling/grammar earlier and I still think you're doing a great job of it.
I think we were being pretty relaxed when mentioning it. Glad folks are helping catch some errors as there will almost always
be a couple here and there.

I think we were talking about games where the spelling/grammar is so bad you can't catch the author's meaning.

Anyway....

Well i don't have those files maybe its in the uncompiled project files that u have. or could u send those to me? i could take a look?

Use the unrpa tool:

go to the game folder and execute (in command line): unrpa scripts.rpa

The dev included the original renpy source files, so no need to decompile them.

dagotto - I advise you to put the girls and conversations in a scripts subfolder, and within that subfolder, create a folder for mechanical scripts and a folder for each girl, like so:

scripts
> gamemechanics
> options.rpy
> screens.rpy
> screensetup.rpy
> timechangers.rpy
> tutorial.rpy
> memorybook.rpy
> alice
> conversations.rpy



Etc.
You can do the same with the images of course.

This will make it much easier for you to handle the structure later, I promise you. It is likely you will need additional files for each girl.
You can also choose to pack an archive for each girl with fx:
rpatool -c girldata_alice.rpa scripts\alice images\alice

You can put the main script.rpy in the gamemechanics subfolder too so the main game folder is clean and only contains the archives.

Yea, I found that out very quickly when I was still making v0.01. There are still some characters in the main script, but when I develop their storylines, I put them into their own script.

In the future, I'll probably have to split the characters scripts up more, but that's a bridge to cross when I come to it haha.

You can visit her later in her story, and she will have more story in the coming patch. I plan to have the option to sneak into the girls' rooms at night in the future ;), but that might be a few patches away.

On a serious note, it's good that the items are bit more expensive. They were defintely too cheap before and I had silly amounts of money after I was about a third of the way through the game.

Yea, the amount of money still isn't super balanced, but at least it's slightly better now. When I add in more of the management elements, it will be more impactful I hope.

Great game, especially for that early state! I really like the design of the map, and that you build in shortcuts to the most important places. Many devs completly ignore such comfort changes. Some minor bugs but nothing game breaking.
Really looking forward to the next updates!
