VN - Ren'Py - Inner Growth [v1.8] [Morally Purple]

This game FUCKING NAILS the futa genre, and lays it against a backdrop of campy vampire/demon/werewolf shenanigans that are both hilarious and keep a light touch. One of the hottest games of its kind (and in general), and certainly the best-executed, with tons of fetishes explored in many different ways. There are probably 100+ sex scenes so far and lots of bonus renders to find.

If you like futas, fetishes, and an existent but not overbearing plot, this game is worth your time. It's easily in my top 10, and it's one of the rare games I hang onto between updates because the bonus images and branching paths give it replayability.

I watch for updates of this one and play every release. Seriously, it's fantastic.

(Disclaimer - I had no idea this was a Futa-oriented game or what Futanari even was. If you are in any way put off by people having multiple reproductive organs, this is 100% not your game. I didn’t mind, so I gave it a go.)

So it seems quality Futanari content is hard to find, as I read from other players. Inner Growth delivers on the promise of that content - and then some. If this is your fetish - or pregnant sex, anal or orgies are - you’ve come to the right place. This game is loaded with sex scenes and to top it off, extra gallery menus that provide hundreds of extra renders. Both canon and ‘what if’. If you are looking for visual stimulation, look no further. This game has and is a lot.

Story
Storywise the game is average to good. Despite the appalling intro (which I think the dev should rework to match the other chapters) the story slowly forms into a tale of becoming. Everything is pretty lightheart and humorous despite the content being of angels and demons. Basically, the thing is one big fuckfest where your MC, Thalna, gets to play around in. It’s clever to write the sexual acts into the story, but found myself drowned in dicks, sexual deviants and fluids overwhelmingly eventually. It’s nothing deep however, unless you count the fucking.

After the first chapter the story picks up to allow our MC to grow and learn her world. This is a long game now, so quite a few developments happen. Yet they all don’t seem to matter much. This is all too apparent near the end chapters, where the climax of story is overthrown by the multiple climaxing of.. you get me. It’s never out of character, but it gets to the point where it’s ridiculous and actually a bit off-putting for me. The tone of voice breaks character sometimes and it hurts the suspense of disbelief, but overall the writer did a good job of containing the story. There are definitely story elements that suddenly disappear off the dev’s map and while frustrating, it never gets in harm’s way of the story.

Side characters are surprisingly good. The two main side characters help form the story while the other cast is sometimes stereotypical. I do like how some of the girls (is that how you refer to them?) are shy, some are extroverted - but most are pretty recessive to your MC. If not downright obsessed with her. MC’s character shines most when she’s met with other dominant energy - so that’s where you’ll get the best moments storywise.

Graphics
Graphics are good. There’s a lot happening and the developer always takes time to show you the money shot. Could nitpick about things being too dark sometimes or being too obsessed with the Futa-theme. But really, if that’s what this game is about you should embrace it. I like the way the dev frames scenes and would definitely check out other projects based on this game. Maybe it could use more of the sensitive moments it already has (cuddling, caressing) - but overall this is the highlight of the game. No animations, but that didn’t bother me at all. (Apparently the regular PC version does have some animations)

As far as models go, there is variation. Some characters have human skin colors, others have demon colors. Most of the body types are the same - I remember encountering a thick woman of color with MC and it was refreshing, since most girls kinda look similar in body type.

There are however so many sex scenes in the game that there really should have been more variety around them. It’s not uncommon to see two people fucking in the same way three times, which decreases the magic moment of the first time. This game has an insane amount of assets - and all of those could have been used to change the experience. In the dev’s defense, I will say that there’s just so much content in the game you can’t really help getting repetitive.

Gameplay
Wanted to make an extra note that there are tap-minigames involved and they’re actually quite clever intertwined with the story, although they don’t always clearly state what needs to happen. This can be frustrating, but I worked it out in the end. Might be better to have some helpful text.

Within the game is a clear emphasis on either being bad or good and while I like my MC good, this game screams for a bad MC. Not that the good MC isn’t dirty, she gets her way as well. It’s definitely bordering ‘horny teen fantasy’ and while I don’t always like it, the dialogue supports that the developer chose it consciously. It’s silly mostly, sometimes over the top - but mostly very sexually suggestive.

The game isn’t finished as of yet, but it seems the ending could go in multiple ways. It’s not really clear to me what the best end choice for my MC would be and that might just be deliberate. We’ll just have to wait and see, but my feeling is that the end reveal could potentially fall flat in favor for more sexual deviance.

That said, this game is definitely worth the effort (even though the game got a bit long). You’ll have to be open to the whole supernatural and futanari thing, but this is actually a great thing built over years. I can’t wait to see the dev work on other stories.

Actually I would have liked it if the writing would'nt be so immature and there would have been any descriptive writing in the lewd scenes.
But it makes sense, as the author realy lacks a decent writing skill.
The lewd scenes are often made up like "funny" interactions as if a teenager fantasises about futa .
Would like to see someone with more skill pick this up again and do some decent writing and tone down the comedy, redo the "twist", be more senusal ...

Beautifully done. Good visuals, good story, very clear and sensible walkthrough & process. Also like that you can pick a path and stick to it with minor story alterations without missing content and having to replay 20 times.

Also gotta love those Stallone references. Dev certainly has a sense for humor.

When I first played this game, I stopped in the beginning because the very first few scenes seemed very silly. I won't spoil it, but you'll know what I mean if you play it. I decided to retry it since it was updated recently, and I'm shocked by how much I ended up liking it. I will say that it does have its fair share of MC syndrome, that is, everyone and their mammas (save for a few chars) love the MC for some inexplicable reason, but it's not the worst.

I also think the author did a good job with the magic system. The characters, while not the best I've seen on this site, are also not bad for what they are. I'm genuinely curious where the story goes from here.

Probably the best VN with futa protagonist.
Renders are of the top quality. Girls are hot!

The game is set in the modern world with demons, succubus and a little bit of magic.
You have 2 main paths (good and evil) and smth between them. That affects the branches of the plot and sex scenes.
There are a lot of content in the game (16 chapters, 7-10 scenes each). Sex happens every 4-5 minutes.
The plot is decent, you never get bored and it's interesting to read.
Also there is some kind of extra activity - looking for hidden objects to unlock special non-canonical shots.

Kinks:
Pissing, anal, pregnant sex, there are about 5 futa girls(some with vagina some without) besides MC. You may fuck them or be receiving. And your harem girls may be fucked by your harem futas.
Extreme kinks are avoidable.

Cons:
- no sex sounds
- sex scenes are too short, they really lack several additional angles

This game has grown a lot from when I had started playing.
The game had started a bit pale around the gills when it came to the storyline. That has improved since then, now the game has a diverse set of characters. One thing I like about this game is that it doesn't pull its punches with futa content.
Generally, futa content is regarded as an extra in a game but not this one. This one has many beautiful models including our MC.
The only downside for me is the pillar minigame and that I can't skip it like the rest.
EDIT: You can *, in fact,* skip the pillar minigame (confirmed by the dev in a PM), you just need to fail enough times.

This is only my second futacentric game--I just acquired the taste less than two weeks ago--so take what I'm saying with some salt. That out of the way, I am a highly experienced AVN player so while the specific fetish is out of my comfort zone the genre itself is not.

No point in delaying why this isn't 5/5, which is what it deserves: excluding background/uninteractable window dressing, there are only three actual futas in this game: everyone else is just a dickgirl or whatever the proper term is. The one time you get to put trapD in futaV for some bizarre and form-breaking reason you have to use a condom. The gag it sets up is mildly amusing, but what the hell? And with the other actual futa the MC interacts with, you only fuck her asshole...even though 75% of all other sex scenes are anal so it's not like there's a reason for it to be an ass scene.

I don't like anal. I don't like it IRL, I don't like it in porn, and I don't like it in my fap games. Maybe it's because I have severe and possibly terminal (depending on upcoming surgery results) bowel disease, but I just don't enjoy ass stuff. Before two weeks ago I wasn't really a dick person either....er, as in...dicks as the focal for fapping...you get the point. But when you combine dicks and buttholes it's just not my thing at all. It's a real shame then that the only actual futas are side characters. It's more obnoxious because lots of the window dressing demons are real futas so the precedent is present, but it's superseded by traps.

Anyway I found the story itself very compelling. It definitely starts out weak like most AVNs, but by the time playable content concluded I was fully invested. If the MC was a real futa or more of the characters were such, this would easily be a 5/5.

PS. as I am still unfamiliar with this niche I probably messed up my terminology; however, I still know that futas have tits, dick, and pussies (balls sometimes).

The visuals and overall "horniness" was good (I think I masturbated once or twice while playing). The story is certainly not a highlight, but it's okay. Unfortunately, the game became repetitive and the lack of options led me to not finish the game. Most of the scenes were repetitive. For example, the orgy scenes.


The game is not finished yet and I'll keep that in mind. Unfortunately, im done playing this game at the time.

Overall, Inner Growth, is pretty good experience. Certainly worth playing, in my opinion. That said, there are some things in it, that I find fairly annoying. And sadly they are kinda getting worse & worse as time goes by. Mostly because these do not change... at all.

Thalna, I quite like as a protagonist. Which kind of surprised me at times. Because... well, she is constantly behaving like a horny bimbo, often does not come across as all that smart, and is woefully unprepared to deal with many situations she is faced with and gets screwed over as a result. But, even so. She does not really come across as helpless waif nor impotent pussy, even when she gets outmatched. Which is great. If there is anything I despise, it's when mc is some overly introspective twit, with their endless internal monoloques, doubts and cowardice. Especially tragic, if the game is good otherwise.

I also like the alignment system the game has overall. The way your choices do actually change the storyline somewhat and present you with more options depending on how light or dark you are. I cannot say, if it's really more meaningful than normal list of multiple options games usually give. But, it somehow feels more meaningful at least. Though, it does seem to bring with it, the common alignment system problem somewhat too. In that, once you pick a path, you better stick with it, and not do a lot of mixing or you might get punished for it.

Dialog is fine. Not great not bad. Some of the scenes are really funny, but most of the time, I didn't really get that into reading in this game. Though, it almost certainly, is due to me not being that into the storyline in general. I'l get more to it, a bit later.

Models are fine. I especially like how females look, when they get... wet, in this game . Sex scenes are... eh okay. No animations, which kinda sucks. But some are pretty hot regardless.

Now to stuff, that kinda bother me.

I'd like to preface this by saying, that I don't have a problem with futas and such. It's just that... there are too many of them! It feels like half of the female characters in this game have a dick. And, at some point it began to kinda annoy me a little. Like - "Hey. That new cute girl looks awes- ... oh, it's another futa? Christ, how many are there goint to be!?". I don't mind Thalna having a dick, and some of the supernatural characters sure. It's fine. But, when it seems that even half of the human cast have one, that's too excessive for my liking. It wont ruin the game, but it's bit annoying at this point.

Lastly... it's the story. It's not very good. Once again, just in my opinion of course. But, eh these supernatural storylines often aren't for me.

What really annoys me, in the story, is the horny teen's approach to your enemies in the game. No matter, what they try to do to you. No matter how heinous. You still end up becoming "Friends", in the end. I know it's a somewhat lighthearted storyline overall... I think. But, even so. If someone tried to do that shit to me, and I was a super strong like Thalna, I'd crush their skull with my bare hands (think of that scene in Blade Runner). Yes, regardless of how hot their ass is .

I was kinda hovering between 3 & 4 with the game. But currently, things that annoy me, annoy me enough, that, I feel it's 3 for me. I'l raise it later, if these things improve enough with further updates. Does not seem to be the trajectory we are heading towards though.


Eh, that's about it. Game was at v1.5, when I made this.

This game is one of the best, if not the best futa protagonist for several reasons.

Excellent renders. Throughout the game, from the first frames to the last (the review was made for version 1.5), it's noticeable how the dev improved the quality of models, environments, and lighting.

Developed and not boring dialogues. The dev through simple phrases between characters, conveys well the lore he created, while not burdening him with complex concepts and phrases.

Great balance between story and porn scenes. Seriously, it doesn't feel like you're going through some mindless porndrome, but it also doesn't feel like you have to live a hundred days in a game and talk to thousands people before you see anything erotic.

Despite the slightly harem(ish) concept I have no problem remembering girls' names and faces. This is of course my personal problem, but it has always been in other games and is the biggest reason why I avoided harems.

Characters. Some of them develop and change depending on the actions of the main character, who herself can be both absolutely evil and absolutely good. And I'm glad that the developer leaves the option for multiple playthroughs.

One of the biggest pros is the developer himself. He is open and sociable. It can also be noted that releases come out stably and without delay, which for me personally, a person who has recently been following a very small number of games, is a huge plus.

God I hope I am not jinxing another GREAT GAME!!! It seems whenever I review one it goes dead!!! Fun game and a decent story for an Adult VN!! Great renders and NO GRIND!!! Whoever thinks grind is fun needs to get their head examined. I hope Morally Purple keeps this going!! We need alot more devs like him/her. Getting very interesting after the last update, hoping to see this one thru to the finish line and I hope its still a long way off!! LOL

First time playing a game with futa MC and damn. This game checked so many boxes for me but even if it didnt its still an actually good game.
Has both good and bad baths. Very nice shots all around , models are 10/10 and same goes for everything on screen. Animations are good. BGM that fits the scenes. And again the story is not boring. It somehow balances a good story and sex scenes around every corner without making them boring!
Really a good ass game 100% recommended. I cant point out anything i didnt like about.. with the exception of the latest mohawk haircut for Thalna . I hope its not permanent. Played v1.2 which has plenty on content already and cant wait for more.

Let's start with the TLDR, [v1.1a] is a strong 4.5/5, but given that that's not a choice, I rounded it up to a 5.

While incomplete, it is definitely one of the better games here and you can actually see the one and a half year of work that went into it.

The characters all look pretty unique and the renders look great.
The number of choices is just right and affects plenty of things. We all know games full of meaningless choices after all.

Given that this is a porn game, it is important to note the sex scenes. They are plentiful, but kept nice and short, never overstaying their welcome... though I wouldn't mind one or two more footjob scenes.

Now, onto what I feel that is definitely competent, but made to be the strongest aspect of this game thanks to all the other previously mentioned components: the story.

There's a plot. That already makes it different from many other games. Now imagine that it's not absolute dogshit. Sounds good, right?
That's what I think as well.

Obviously, the setting and many parts of it might remind people of every other fanfic from the 2000s, but given that it's neatly packed into a good looking porn game, there's no reason to complain.

Likebale futa MC, nice supporting cast, cool "villians".
The writing is alright, renders are great, tons of scenes with different girls.
The plot is a bit cliche, but that why those usually works, hard to mess those up to be honest.
I give it 5 stars just for the effort and good renders, its not ideal but u can see right away how much work was put in this game and how much potential it has.
The only flaw this game has is the fact that it never removes the kiddie gloves, it never takes risks, villians are not really villians since u know u wont ever kill any of them and eventually just bang them to make them better or something, u end up either taking your mom place or some angel version of it and everyone will be happy and banging, that just how it is i guess.
But i wish there was some stakes at hand, the game has some branching but its all pointless at the end of the day since u cant lose in any way at all(noone has any bite, its like watching a PG cartoon but with porn).

Inner Growth has a slightly different take on a classic erotic story type that seems to have fallen out of style lately: demons, angels, and half-breeds seeking superiority through sex and magic. You play the naturally strong princess of darkness who thinks with her dick too much, and for the most part the story goes exactly as you'd expect it would from there. Does that mean it's boring? Hell no. It's a classic for a reason.

In addition to lots of fast-paced story telling filled with sex scenes of many different kinks, the game has above average models, (some) interactive screens, and characters who feel unique, motivated, and interesting. Some of the sex scenes can get a little repetitive, but this game is undeniably above average.

The frustrating part of Inner Growth is that many things feel like they don't follow through. It mentions you corrupting innocents for power--you never do. It warns of succubi draining power through sex--you bang several of them yet only grow in strength. There are probably over a hundred choices in this game and I can't really tell if any of them have any impact beyond, "Would you like to see a sex scene with this character, or skip back to the story?"

I feel like, in a world where sex is power and the weak are enslaved, this story almost gives off the expectation that the people you have sex with and the way you choose to have sex with them will both effect your future relationships and how you'll have to solve future problems. Yet it never delivers on that expectation and never delivers otherwise with its story forks, which makes me feel like this game has something missing.

Hybrid demon girl with dick, 'nuff said already really. Plus a cast of varied and interesting characters, a rival (Vanth) and the engaging plots and questioning of the mother of the MC motives for doing anything. So as far as storytelling goes it really hits the mark there.

There are a few diverging choices present as well which make it more immersive. I would have preferred more of a sandbox or 'hub' area where you can re-interact with people who are there at your leisure and then the rest of the story can be linear until you get back to the home hub but that's just me.

Scenes are a mixture of Static and Animated as well which is good.

Would recommend.

Lovely chars that I met so far and the story is really great, I dont know that I missed that but I dont know what the quenn (her mother) and Thelma are they are Demons ? They teeth make me think more about a Vampyr.
