I think I've played one or two of the others in the series. Do they still simply reference each other lightly or should you really play them in order?

In case anyone is interested i quickly made this up so i can play with mouse only. Just download and paste it inside the Innocent Rules gamefolder, overwrite files when asked.

Things that I changed:

- You can now use the left mouse button to walk around the map
- You can now use the right mouse button to hide text messages
- You can turn on Touch Control in the Options Menu
- You can view detailed explanation about Items/Skills with a middle mouse button press
- Added "Exit Game" Button in the Game Menu you can scroll down in order to see it, can also use the arrow keys to go down

So far I've noticed the following limitations:
- You can't buy, nor sell stuff in a shop (Enter on Keyboard) Can be circumvented with touch controls in Options
- You can't view the second status page of characters (left + right on keyboard) Can be circumvented with touch controls in Options
- You can't view detailed explanation about Items/Skills [Anything i suppose] (A-Button on Keyboard) Now works with a middle mouse button press

Everything else seems to work okay so far.

Disclaimer: I have not tested this out properly yet, so issues may arise, use at your own discretion.

Also, you should probably leave the touch controls off if you're not actively looking to sell/buy stuff or looking at the second status page of characters.

missing shota tag?
Looks like the MC is quite "young" indeed.

DLSite tags :

Genre

Shota tag is present. No Loli tag.

Afaik Innocent Rules is even more standalone; Asylum has one character showing up in Kludge (but looks like she'll become important later).

Honestly, I'd recommend doing them in order, but the games are also good at filling you in on what's happened so far.

Both Asylum and this game are not technically from the SEQUEL series, and are independent for the most part. However, if you like story-driven games like these, I'd recommend playing them in order of release:

Blight - Awake - Colony - Asylum - Kludge - Innocent Rules - Thirst (currently being translated)

Blight is a bit controversial and is currently not available in this site, but honestly it can be skipped if you want. Asylum and Innocent Rules have different MCs than the main SEQUEL games, but are actually connected with the overall SEQUEL story and can help give context to certain events. With that said, I haven't played Innocent Rules, so I'm not sure how connected it is yet.

As others have said though, even between SEQUEL games each of them starts in a way that makes it easy for a new player to adapt and not get confused because of not knowing previous lore, though you certainly understand more references if you do.

anyone know how to get other monster girl companions' skill crystal yet, except Feide's?
Fiede is the only party member with a unique skill crystal. In exchange, Fiede doesn’t have a unique accessory like all the other monster girls do.
Fiede still has a unique Genesis Stone crystal from the postgame moth crafter though. You just need materials from the Hauskaa Forest enemies and need her to be Mana Benefit 10, like it is for everyone else’s.

Needs the global file that the save had with it. To run, I'm not sure if achievements file matter, though, but the global file gone will stop it from working. I just tried it; sadly, it won't even register as a save. tested it to

You get clear creation stones from the enemies in Hauskaa Forest. That’s one of the areas unlocked after you complete the memory space in the postgame.
