Why are you mad, game was updated almost monthly since october till april
People feel entitled to talk shit in general, this is exasperated by lack of progress on projects and when devs completely remake their games from the ground up, this is exasperated further when you have a patreon(as that means peoples money was spent on a lack of progress or no progress at all(i prefer to think of it as money spent to improve your skills personally), and it's almost like adding fuel to the fire when you take time off working on your main game which you are funded 600 USD a month through patreon to work on, then go on to make a game specifically about beating the shit out of users of the community you are talking to. It
Shit is funny though, feel free to fist me in your torture game if you like.
Anyways, looking forward to more Innventure progress whenever it comes, or whatever it is you're working on, good luck out there Joody14

Whenever I'm taking a break - I am informing people, and even specifying that you should stop supporting me for the time being because there won't be any updates until I get back to the project. The Kick Back thingy was like 1.5 years ago, it's a pretty long time, not sure why people still bring this up. When I made Kick Back I don't think I even had a patreon page.

This post was made around the time I stopped releasing updates for Innventure, it's not like I'm not saying anything and staying quiet, I'm making sure people know exactly what is going on.

I made a lot of mistakes while making this game and it took me quite some time to realize what I really want it to be, it was remade like 3 times I think until I figured it out. Well it's my first ever game, mistakes had to be made I guess. After working on Cave Party-Innventure for 2 years I got tired of it, I need to switch my attention to something else and try new things because I just don't feel interested making the same game for so long. I will come back to it though 100% because I still have features in mind I would like to add.

I'd also like to point out: The hiatus posts are public. Don't jump to conclusions thinking they're for patrons only :)

Speaking of realizing mistakes for the game: What did you use for displaying text? It is quite resource intensive, and if it's a standard function of Godot, I'd like to know which parts to avoid ahead of time to avoid any mistakes when I'm working with Godot. Although I must say: even before the name change, the game was pretty decently well made, especially knowing its your first one.

That's totally fair, i've only been following your work for like a yearish, so i just figured KB was a recent production as people are still talking about it here and on Itch, and yeah of course there will be hiccups during development, i wasn't trying to point fingers or anything, i've seen a lot of people bitch about game development and it's generally for the same reasons, glad to see you're doing due diligence though :)
Good luck with your hiatus, hope it's refreshing :D

I'm displaying text with a regular Label node, it's built-in

There will be always entitled people complaining about something even in a pirate forum, though it should be quite obvious in hind sight since this is a porn forum where degenerate flock.

Actually, the "small hiatus" post is public, but the "Big hiatus" post is locked behind (free) patreon membership.

Anyhow hopefully the dev will return to this when they have inspiration again. This game is in a good concept stage thus far. There's a lot of directions it can go. I think using multiple characters to introducing and tutorializing different tasks/gameplay (serving beer, cleaning rooms) as shorter campaigns, and then unlocking a longer campaign with multiple/all tasks/gameplay would be neat.
