You know the best part? The original game had the music, but didn't use it o_O. I found it too amazing to not include it as the main theme, however, for as hard as I tried, I could not find where the music came from...
The music itself reminds a lot of Hdoom music if anyone did play that game like me. The guitar riff and the synthesized piano remind me of Hdoom music. I dug around the internet and couldn't actually find anything based on the music, is it possibly lost media? Or could be something ripped from a song without the vocals? I am really curious about the origins of this song.

Right, my bad, I confused how it works and turned out it's fine. Anyway is there any plans for 1.35, maybe this year or you guys need to rest?
We're taking a break mostly, albeit we're putting some work on version 1.35. We've decreased the scope slightly and moved stuff to 1.40 in the hopes we could still make a cool improvement to the pregnancy this year, however no promises :censored:.

there is a mis decoding from shift JIS into western coding, i am assuming since the game is quite old and originally Japanese maybe that's why there is an encoding error.
My digging around, i found the game is using a KiriKiri engine so it uses XP3. I also assuming you merged everything with the .exe so I have to decode it from my end from Shift-JIS.
the artist name is sort of a corrupted data since it is originally in Japanese so the Japanese characters are needed,.
My digging around did find TAM music but no traces of the song itself, but TAM did get involved in making doujin stuff.

I tried 3 different AI tools and played the Song for them. They didnt know the song. One suggested songs that sounded nothing like the original :WaitWhat:

i think it is either lost media or the original creator of Mushi no Kangoku cooked up the song themself, but I think there is an original somewhere, there has to be.
Edit: since there is an album title as well, more songs in the game should either be the same or it is completely random. I do think COOL might be leading to something.

So the "shift-jis" encoding was a really good tip. I've created a very small script in python where I extracted the artist name and attempted to recode the bytes in different encodings. After some fiddling around I got something with "cp932", which is shif-jis basically, and it gave the wrong name because the artist name was already broken beyond repair, but kept the (TAM) after it.

I then searched for the resulting name in a meta search engine with the name of the album as well (COOL) and lo and behold: .

Best of this is finding that the music is free to use :D, so we can keep it on! Also found a bunch more great music on their site as well.

I've just opened a survey similar to the one I asked on Discord. Let me know what you'd prefer regarding the usage of AI or not in new scenes. I'll average the results with the Discord ones and decide where the limits lie from there :).

Two questions before I give you my two cents, for context's sake:
1. Would using AI make your job easier or not?
2. Does AI assist in the actual animating part? (this has nothing to do with the matter at hand; I make my own animations for Skyrim SexLab using Blender AND 3ds max, and I've never used any AI tools nor have I ever even heard of any such tools that make animating less time consuming. I only ask because, if it turns out that there are actually AI tools to assist with animating, I might have something to look into in the future).

1. For new scenes yes, because the main issue is the limited set of poses and critters on the current CGs and very low budget to purchase new CGs. Cutting, recoloring and moving around can only take us so far at this point and we can't consistently depend on people who assists us for free. There is someone on discord training a Lora on Leah and the likeness of her poses and body to that of Atera's latest work is getting very close, so this could be a way to create the reference for new scenes OR the source CG for the new scenes. Usage will vary greatly depending on how people feels about it.

2. AI can make somewhat "fluid" animations, however the how to apply this is still something I'm trying to figure out. The option is more given the possibility.

Maybe it's not necessary something too Fluid, I think the current "photographic" frame by frame animation has its charm, maybe you can take screenshots of the AI animation to simulate artificially the "frame by frame" type of animation

I understand your point and I mostly agree with it :), however since the project is completely free (and since the MasterCard and Visa hit, without donations as well), we have to consider options and compromises in advancing with somethings. In this case the CGs are the bottleneck for the development of new scenes.

Personally I will always try to place artists' work in front of AI generated content, but with the reliance on offered work, amount of time investment the game requires, and 0 income, we have to be open with our approaches as I don't want to overwork myself nor Grey and cause the project to be abandoned :censored:.

Regardless, my intention is to resort as least as possible to AI generated works, because I'm also not in favor of it when used for the main content or used in paid games.

You're absolutely right :).

What I meant with fluid animations is that it possesses the capability of creating smooth animations, however our objective is to keep the artstyle as consistent as possible inside the constraints we have, and that will always impact animations as we plan on also keeping the same frame based style, regardless of how fluid the generated animations could be. That fluidity could help greatly with giving more frames to work with, but that is all ;).

Unfortunately we are on a loosing end here. The original Artist refused his help, there are limited Assets of his Art that we CAN use. Adding 2-3 more scenes and things start to look same-y and copy pasted. There is other Atella Art out there, but we arnt allowed to use it.

This leaves creating new scenes ourself, which is a challenge. You have to jump though several hoops:

First, you want to keep the Art style of Atella in some way, so it doesnt end up like a mixture of Styles like in Ravager. It is hard to mimic a certain Art Style, that isnt your own.

Second, the way Scenes are made is dated and time consuming. It is like a flipbook with different images played in a pattern. For each tiny movement you will need another image. Newer games uses flash or modern animation programs to morph one picture into another. You can create basic loops with just 2-3 images. Unfortunately this doesnt work here.

So unfortunately AI is almost necessary, I think. The difference is how you use it.
I know there are countless"games" that uses AI as its main method. AI wirtten story, AI generated Art that all looks basic and same-y. Thats because these Devs lack passion and dont put much effort into their creations. They put together common assets to make a game to gain some money.

However Eroism has proven that he/she/it (how should we address you eroism btw?) has the passion to use it as a mere tool, not a main production method. I have faith that Eroism will use AI sparingly to honor Atella and his legacy.

Everybody who voted "drawn by artists" should know that this will slow down the production significantly, with a high risk of the game staying unfinished or getting abandoned. Artists that have the talent and are willing to jump through all these hoops are rare and probably dont want to be credited for a game about Insects fucking young girls.
