I started to think, you consider 16 years old too young. Lots of 16 years old, even some younger than that, have deep dark secrets. In Erynn's case, could be anything.

Some 16 years old do have some wild past, that's true.
But it's not like she is a 16 year old that is using drugs or have a huge sexual past(given that the Zane thing still hasn't happened at this point in time).
The argument between them started about the MC, and Ethan mocking how he wanted to be more than friends, it's not a huge jump in logic that the conversation remained on this topic.

The situation is indeed fairly forced, how he kept without contact for 5 years, i would easily agree with you if you were criticizing it in terms of writing.

I just don't think it should be used as an attack on Erynn, the situation to me is more of a "mistakes were made on both sides, some bad luck, some unfortunate timing... it's time for us to move on", rather than what could've been done differently... no way of going back anyways.

All this talk about Erynn in the past got me thinking If I were to criticize Erynn for her past 5 years ago. Other than how she handled the confession. Would be when she did go talk to Emily to try and talk to the MC as far as I can recall she never explained the situation / what happened to his mom. If she knew she would of had a better understanding and maybe Emily would of never sent him away.

One thing I seen people mention is how poorly she handled the confession. While that is true she could of handled it better. I would say they both handled it poorly just Erynn handled it worst. Because I bet Erynn was embarrassed it happened Infront of Alexis and Ethan and didn't know what to do. Which is why I think she just kind of brushed it off and acted like nothing happened at first and her walking off to her other friends to "laughing at the meme" was probably her terrible idea of changing the subject. As I got the sense she wanted to talk to the MC privately about it when she tried to go see him not just to apologize but to talk about it. I bet those letters she sent was her mostly apologizing about the whole thing but we will never know. Still no excuse for how she did handled it but that's just my point of view on it.

the last update post I saw on this thread was this I think that is the most recent one as it was like 5 or so pages back.

Still working on the restaurant scene(s) and will be for the next weeks also. It'll most likely be the largest scene of the update. It has a lot of smaller scenes within it and depending on path(s), you'll jump back and forth between them. The difficult part is to make them all flow together and make sense.

After the restaurant scene, there will be 2 more bigger scenes. One of those scenes, the MC will not be present, or at least not in the vicinity. I'm still debating how exactly I want to show you that scene. Either show the full scene and what's happening or have a character who is in the scene tell MC what happened. I think the first option is a little bit more interesting? Let me know.

If the scene is about John (after he learn that Erynn is his daughter) with his hammer and his hacksaw transforming Ethan into an artistic meat puzzle, i sure hope we'll see that scene

Thank you both for that. I don't mind waiting. Not sure I like the part about a scene where the MC isn't present. That could be anything and is very worrisome. Especially with what happened with the crap before.
