No idea, as I don't know Nyx and what she's like, but it does seem strange that she would give away such a plot point, especially with how the twists and turns are a key selling point of the story. She could just be really committed to the long con though!

No. That was a potential outcome of a cliffhanger from a much earlier episode (9 if I remember correctly), the potential death in this cliffhanger is Val.

That's the fun thing about Nyx, she gives away many informations, like Santiago is not Lexi's and Layla's dad, but people either choose to not listen or not believing her until it's revealed in the game. They always say it's her trolling the players.
