There's nothing more "women right?" than that...
"We need to stay away from each other"
"Ok i'll do that"
"No wait..."

Ps: It looks like she's finally getting over it if you ignore her from this point on.
In previous interactions she always had a depressed, "staring into the abyss", look on her face whenever she saw the MC.
This time she had a nice conversation at the bar, even making jokes about the fact that they fucked, talked about things with Lakeyin and stayed at the table for dinner... last time we were there she was "not hungry".

Only just now after you gave me the idea

To each their own I suppose, I've been in physical fights with friends before, it happens. We're still friends now, tempers flare and dumb things happen it's hardly the end of the world.
Wasn't just the case of a disagreement though. The whole story is a lot more premeditated.

There was a disagreement turned into a premade plan. Zach invited the MC to something he had planned that he wanted to do before him and his family left for spring break. MC gets into Zach's car for the plan who directly takes him to Ethan and his two goons. He then hits the MC after venting about all his issues of the MC stealing his girls. He then leaves the MC with Ethan and his two goons.

Getting into an altercation happens with friends, sometimes it can go over the top. But this was taken to a whole new level.

There was a level of resentment and jealousy in that "argument" that is hard to come back from, he blames the MC for all his problems.
I've got into scuffles with friends when i was younger... often over silly things like sports... none of those involved the guy saying how much he hates me and how all that's gone wrong in his life is my fault.

And furthermore now that he's back in town(after one week to think about things), he doesn't feel bad for his actions and wants to apologize, he sides with his new pal Ethan that openly says he plans to harm his old friend.

Summing it up... FUCK THIS GUY.

This has gone way beyond a misunderstanding into a near aiding and abetting of Ethan's criminal activities.

(Or Ethan could set up Zach as a patsy, fall guy.)

And Zach's actions - even if they are unknowing and ignorant - will help endanger more people like Val, John and Iris.

This is no longer just a falling out between two former friends.

I agree, he came back and went straight for Ethan.
He's not thinking about apologizing, he teams up with a guy that openly wants to hurt his "friend".
He's helping Ethan and putting people(ones that are true friends of the MC) in harms way.

If later he sees Valeria or Erynn being harmed by Ethan, or someone somehow convinces him that Ethan is the bad one...
And Zach helps bring him down... Good for him i guess, but in terms of being a friend the damage is done.

No amount of sad, apologetic, faces will make me forget that he chose to trust this Ethan piece of shit over "me", and teamed up with him to screw me and my friends over.

This definitely wasn't premeditated, Ethan had to tell Zach that it was MC that beat his ass in the scene with Erynn, Zach just took his internal resentment added it to one side of a story and went ape shit.

And furthermore now that he's back in town(after one week to think about things), he doesn't feel bad for his actions and wants to apologize, he sides with his new pal Ethan that openly says he plans to harm his old friend.
Maybe I'm forgetting something but when did he say he wants to hurt the MC?

Yep he went straight to Ethan, but we don't know the circumstances. It's pretty well known that Zach lacks the ability to self reflect or he would have guessed where his issues with women stem from by now, so he likely hasn't thought about it at all.

I'm not saying Zach isn't a jackass, he's definitely in the wrong, I'm just saying he's redeemable once he realizes whats actually going on.

Zach leads MC directly to Ethan and his two goons, so what did he think would happen? A nice civilized conversation? I don't think anyone could be quite that ignorant.

And there was really no scuffle. It was one sucker punch by Zach after which the goons grab MC. Again, what did he think would happen before he buggered off into the building? Another nice civilized conversation?

Maybe I'm forgetting something but when did he say he wants to hurt the MC?
Zach doesn't explicitly say he wants to hurt the MC, Ethan directly and overtly implies it, and Zach asks essentially what the plan was.

Sounds like you are missing a lot...

Zach offering help with a plan that obviously means harm to the MC.
Their actual plans aren't shown(probably to surprise us when it happens), but clearly "send him back to that hole he came from" isn't something positive would you agree?
After the small fade to black where they discuss what they plan to do... the scene picks back up and they are still on the same page and seeing eye to eye.
At no point Zach ever questions Ethan on anything, show unwillingness to play his part or defends the MCs character.

And that's after telling Ethan about John and seeing Ethan make a sus as fuck phone call to some guy... how dumb do you have to be to see that this guy is up to some dangerous stuff?

Yep he went straight to Ethan, but we don't know the circumstances. It's pretty well known that Zach lacks the ability to self reflect or he would have guessed where his issues with women stem from by now, so he likely hasn't thought about it at all.

What circumstances are there? He arrived from his trip and went to see Ethan at the club, he could've seeked out the MC to talk things over, he didn't do that...
Clearly he's still in the same mental place he was before his trip, blaming the guy for everything and (as we just discussed) even willing to help his new buddy hurt him.

With Ethan clearly stating that he means harm to the MC... how much more of a "he doesn't know" pass should we give this guy?
I'm done giving "idiot credit" to this motherfucker... he's hurting people, actual friends and at this point "i didn't know" isn't good enough, it's right there on his face.

Yea fuck Zach at this point, if he's stupid enough to believe the not even believable lies that Ethan tells him and is willing to give out information that will hurt people and is willing to have someone force a girl to be into him then he's a piece of shit that needs to be nowhere near mc regardless of whether he's redeemed storywise or not.

The stupidity excuse has worn off for me... it's too much, the stupidity went too far...

Even if somehow he ends up helping bring Ethan down, i'm not one for "Darth Vader redemptions".
"I did some really horrible shit, but now i feel really bad... so i'm a good guy now right?"
Fuck off.
