I think we already covered that... she was just nice, there doesn't need to be anything bigger than she did a nice gesture due to being a nice person.I think what complicates things is there is a LOT of vagueness between the two. You only get what Lexi thinks in the argument, and what she tells you about the moment if MC is on her route. Erynn's retelling doesn't have the same details post-MC leaving that Lexi does, but as Erynn wasn't there that's not surprising.
If Lexi really had zero connection with MC, then why stop? Why would she feel he needed to be consoled, wished happy birthday, and then kiss MC on the cheek? Yeah I'm reading between the lines, but it just doesn't strike me as something someone with zero interest/connection would do.
In the flashback, the MC never says it's his birthday and Erynn never says it, so how does Lexi know? She can't just have guessed, and there's no indication they hung out earlier in the day based on Emily's conversation with the MC when he goes over there. If MC and Lexi had no connection at all, why would she even know his birthdate? Again, some of the pieces just don't fully add up in my mind.I don't think it was a mutual connection, but I just get the feeling that Lexi may have had some interest in MC, and comes across as very shy about it.
She saw a little kid get bullied by a stupid asshole, on his birthday, she sees this kid sad and dejected... she tries to cheer him up...
I don't feel this warrants any further explanation, she saw a kid feeling bad(someone she knows... at least a friend of a friend) and decided to cheer him up, sounds like something any humane person would do... had she simply walked past him ignoring his suffering it would be the actions of a self centered cunt.
As for the next point i can only speculate, maybe Erynn told her this was his birthday before the flashback even starts "i have to stop by MCs house later, it's his birthday", maybe the same thing a few days earlier... but there isn't a single solid thing telling us how she learned this info.
I honestly can't see any special interest before the kiss, after the kiss he does have a "this is the guy that gave me my first kiss" tag and that makes him special for her.
A different kind of slow burn, the sex isn't slow, it happens right away...She's the nasty bitch slow burn parallel to the Erynn, Elena and Val paths.
Slows burn are usually because of long term romances, lady personal problems, distance or obstacles and antagonists in the path. In Tori's case, it's the glacial, slow burn of her bad attitude.
Even Quinn's (who I'm not a fan of) soft side and an explanation of why she's a ruthless hard ass shows up faster than hers. Even the first light moment between Darryl and the MC shows up faster.
The writing of Tori's character (and Darryl's) have to be improved. She's currently very one dimensional.
But her becoming an actual character has been a slowwwww gradual proccess.
Yum yum!!!
