I think Erynn did something wrong... She didn't go after the MC, she stayed to yell at Ethan. In two of the 3? perspectives we are sure to see Erynn didn't go after the MC. If someone hurts your friend you go after your friend you don't stay to yell at the asshole.

Oh definitely. I find the entire idea that the MC is still focusing on the rejection silly. By the time he sees Erynn again he has banged 4-5 women? Had relationships with 1-2 of them? And yet he thinks he needs "revenge" for something that happened when he was almost 13?

If I held grudges like the MC does I would still be working through my "revenge" list...

You're missing the point. The point is not about whether it's a crime worth being indicted as the devil for based on your standard. The point is that Erynn did something wrong to MC back then, and therefore MC had a valid reason to be upset at her. Whether MC wanted to be angry or very angry or very very angry is completely up to MC. Just like in real life how different people deal with relationship problems differently. Some people would move on very quickly from a break up. Some people might get depressed for a while before being able to move on. Some people couldn't move on at all and kill themselves. They're all valid.
