is it just me or do you guys also hate ai cg games?

I think people would be fine with AI CG if the art looked like a human drew it, and compensated with better gameplay. At its current state, beyond looking at the tags, its easy to tell AI art from real art.
Im sure it will get there eventually. It took a long time before we saw 3D video cards for computers for example. Even had to survive the printer dongle copy protections and math coprocessors.

AI is so very new on the scene still. In a decade you'll probably be seeing full movies with AI actor Sean Connery again and it will look utterly real.

This is sort of how i feel too. If i can tell it's AI CG before confirming it with the tags or from a dev statement, that's the style i hate most. If you make an AI CG game where i had no idea then you did it right IMO.
Its pretty easy to make some very convincing AI artwork if someone knows what they are doing with Stable Diffusion. Once you figure out how to use LORAs and embeddings things progressively get simpler.

At least it is creating 'somthing new' isntead of rearranging basic assets.

True, check out this thread or this thread for tons of examples of realistic AI by AI artists. I've been working on finding a style that isn't realistic AI, but isn't as AI Samey as what a lot of adult games have been defaulting to due to resistance to AI images that are actually profitable, I.E. Steam not allowing realistic AI art at all if NSFW is involved.

Edit: I forgot the damn links when I posted originally. Added.

Sure, these are a bit extreme for this point, but I went down a bit of a rabbit whole while I was creating, lol. sdXL_v10VAEFix.safetensors - 1075464560555117_00001_.png

Nah I just hate AI now. Can't do a simple image search now without having to sift through tons of slop. Social media is filled with deranged ChatGPT bots spreading the most insane shit you can think of. Even found Youtube channels that seem automatically generated by bots that steal videos from other channels/sites or generate their own slop slideshows and run AI narration over it, usually pushing the same bullshit as the social media bots.

Then consumer hardware prices went through the roof even harder than the crypto/covid wombo combo because of companies buying up all the good hardware for AI farms and manufacturers abandoning the entry/mid tier markets.

First of all, you don't need to convince me that it's possible to generate very realistic images of topless women (who are always looking directly at the camera and hiding their hands) though i'm wondering how you would use those images in a game. You might want to show examples of actual game assets.

Secondly it doesn't matter if it's easy or not. It's also pretty easy to use a search engine and yet so many people these days don't do it.

Lastly, i'm not trying to argue for or against AI CG. There's a particular style that is obviously AI CG that i really hate. However i do hold devs accountable to fix any problems in their images they generate. If you got 6 fingers you better clean it up or generate a new image.

Oh, sorry, I forgot to make her stare into the camera and hide her hands...one sec.

If the small text was the only thing you got from what i wrote, then you missed the point completely. It was small text because it was a minor observation of what people typically show.

In my opinion...

is mandatory.

I've tried multiple AI games and they're just not my cup of tea. I would much rather look at beginner level art than at the homogeneous amalgamations that an AI throws up.

EDIT: Also is it me or have a lot of NTR games suddenly appeared when AI became popular? I saw a rise of NTR and AI in the past few years and I don't know whether it's correlated or just a coincidence.

I think Netorase Phone appeared and hit home with a lot of people. It's like a new take on the old Ren'Py system using a different Unity plugin (though I think a lot of game engines have this "phone story" plugin now), you had a lot of copycats spring up almost immediately, and still are, to cash in on the new hype.

I hope it works for the ones who are trying hard though! It's tough to come up with a new concept and build it out.

That one, It's really not a good game in any way shape or form, that he get almost 2 thousands backers on patreon is perplexing xD
You come out with a unique thing and you'll get the money! First to market can be great.

I actually was enjoying it until it became more of a swinger situation. Kind of not my thing at that point.

My first response to how many backers he got was to be surprised how many willing cucks are out there. I mean...it's netorase.

yeah it's my best guest as well, he came before the tide and got all the support.

well that's the thing, The fetish that's in the title is out of the game, it's really not well handled, the author don't understand the concept of "consent" or "boundaries" and that it's not netorase if she's not acting within those limits.

the very first scene of the game you learn from a third party that she's in the toilet with another dude, it's not something you planed or agreed on, she just do whatever she want and you go through mind hoops trying to convince yourself that you're ok with it.

You can fix faces and hands with detailers inside the generators now. Like I said the difference in images is usually someone who actually knows how to use the tools and someone who doesn't. Most of the complaints I hear about generative AI are usually from people who either don't know what they are talking about or think the technology is still where it was 3 years ago.

Ultimately at the end of the day if someone don't like games with AI generated images don't buy or play them. But I can tell you one thing though, its not going away.

based. ai cg games are ruining the ntr as a genre by making more and more ntrs/netorase slops. non-ntr enjoyers now thinks that this ntrs phone slops are how ntr games are in general. such a sad state this is. i'd never forgive those devs who do this. it's better to not support ntrs phone slops devs and rate their games lower and mass report them to the oblivion
